[0:00] I am currently in a bog surrounded by moths and lily pads and it’s you know what’s funny is um uh I saw one of those today in uh re

[0:18] reality reality little Swamp Thing little fish and snakes and snails like with smells and like touches

[0:28] and feels yeah that sounds horrific it was pretty awesome why would you go there when you can come in here infinite possibilities

[0:38] in this reality like that chump reality we all to deal with I reject reality sub there oh this is so

[0:51] great it would be good the I me there’s like start I know there’s a so much to talk about I don’t know how to get into any particular part about it

[1:01] but uh yeah just like a butterfly like right here it’s going down like a toggle here that I can’t reach because I don’t have the

[1:12] controller Yep this is uh this is it this is going to be the episode this week you can just watch me exist in another

[1:24] reality should we let’s get this orwellian nightmar started yeah let’s get it’s going don’t uh don’t

[1:34] make me come back I’m just so happy

[1:43] here just going to take it to uh local Starbucks plug it in and uh sign off all right it’s going to start to be a thing

[1:56] you’re going to be seeing people sitting with their laptops and like steam V headsets on just sitting there in a Starbucks looking around that’s that’s

[2:07] what everything will be I think I think everybody in the end much like the Matrix will just be in a Starbucks in a virtual reality

[2:13] headset big smile on their face just looking at uh looking at a swamp looking at a swamp this group of VR avoiding L like

[2:25] myself skipping around and giving you all Wet Willies when you’re not looking which you think is just part of the experience TR Gods so immersive that

[2:37] feels wet in the land of the blind the one eye man sees all quoted boomy

[2:48] okay the let’s go for this let’s do this yeah the adult beverages are poor the kids are asleep welcome to New dad gaming a show about fatherhood gaming

[2:59] and new fathers figuring out their gaming lives I’ve entered another reality my name is Trevor and I have a one-year-old my name is Gavin I have a

[3:07] Oney old I’m Jeff Trevor doesn’t know what I’m doing with my hands right now but I have a six-year-old and a three-year-old and it doesn’t matter

[3:16] Jeff your your meaty hands hold no sway in this reality that I’m in currently I’m I’m just among the Flies and the reads having a fine

[3:28] time so so the investment of 600 plus dollars for fireflies and just sit amongst the reads it all

[3:40] work jump out of the Matrix there got psvr it happened there’s the headset well for audio listeners that’s a psvr headset as you want to

[3:54] assume turn it off because the there’s actually a game running which probably means like my PlayStation’s going to be running up a

[4:03] storm that’s pretty sweet I’m jealous man it is a it was unnervingly easy to get one where it’s like you almost wanted it

[4:17] to be very difficult to get your hands on one because it would show how popular it had been but I kind of just like strolled up

[4:27] to a store and asked for it and got it and it’s like hey great that was easy huh wait a minute that was easy oh no that’s actually happen to me in the past

[4:36] too with like certain items where it’s like you know they’re sold out everywhere and I’m like I just walked across the street and got one it’s not

[4:43] that big of a deal went because they they been sold out in when the pre-orders went there’s been two round of pre-orders they went

[4:52] immediately and then they of like you couldn’t order it online people are trying to I’m hoping scalpers got burnt like I call them

[5:00] scalpers I’m not sure the right word but just call them like flippers yeah the guys who had bought them in advance was trying to sell them so like I saw some

[5:08] going for like you know $1,500 on eBay like I’ll give you my day one pass I’m hoping they all lost money the cous thing about it I went to

[5:17] I went to a Best Buy they didn’t have any of the kit and that’s like the full box where you have the move controllers the video camera and the headset uh they

[5:24] had an absolute ton of just the headset though ton of them like they had be like a good 50 boxes behind their desk but I mean it’s you need the camera

[5:36] yeah at very least right and I don’t know do you either of you gentlemen just by survey have the PlayStation camera no I had the PS3 one not the PS4 one does

[5:48] the PS controllers from the PS3 work with PS4 no camera these are the same I guarantee these are the same move controllers they

[5:57] still have the USB like the fat USB uh charger not even like the nice oh yeah yeah yeah so these are definitely the same move

[6:06] controllers I think it just have the camera it have to have like the updated camera for it yeah but yeah so it went to the Best Buy they didn’t have it I

[6:13] walked over to an E games um this was like an hour or so after it opened and just like hi do you have this I’m like yes I’m like I will

[6:23] take one of those please I said then just like that kind of like sinking feeling of like oh God is this not actually going to be very popular have I

[6:32] just like and on the way there I had all these uh second thoughts because a journalist had very pointedly mentioned just in one sentence

[6:41] saying you know I look in the corner and in there I have uh a heap of move controllers and a connect sitting beside a Wii that’s connected but I don’t

[6:52] really use anymore is this just destined to be the next catchy like peripheral that’s going to like see not be ever really

[7:02] supported and it’s just like supported it just had its lifespan yeah flash in the P well not yeah the Wii was um couple years

[7:13] yeah the the we of the three like that’s the worst to mention in fact the connect and the move controllers were just sad we impersonators Guitar Hero the drum

[7:21] sets the guitar all that stuff man I sold that stuff a long time ago for that R very reason it’s just in the corner so much

[7:32] plastic last move I gave away uh we had a we still had a Rock Band guitar and uh one of the one of the guys who helped move I was like here buddy

[7:46] take you burned him with technology he didn’t want no he did he wanted because he hadn’t he just maybe couple years ago picked up a 360 so like he’s been just

[7:58] burning through the catalog so now we can do some of the music rhythm games because like finding those peripherals now is a little hard yeah because theyve

[8:06] just been you know garage s they of market so now kind of they’re more of like an eBay item than something you can regularly find so for him it was perfect

[8:18] it was great because I got rid of the thing man yeah that was a wild time just like if you wanted the kit you had like the two guitars the micro phone the drum

[8:31] kit drum kit just sitting people here’s a peripheral for you uh Tony Hawk escap oh God don’t even no I don’t know anybody that has bought that thankfully

[8:44] it it was a horrible horrible Pur anybody who bought one they like threw it away in the night so no see

[8:57] them all the receipts they went to like the store they bought it and like stole the CCTV tapes and burnt those the shame level of that peripheral

[9:08] like everybody erased all evidence of its existing like I think they’re buried in a hole in the desert next to the ET game I hope

[9:17] so yeah when they’re looking for the ET games they found it they’re like oh they just put back the whole Buri underneath all these Tony Hawk

[9:30] oh poor Tony Hawk manical dig of like rejected game industry sort of like swinging a miss and it’s like go through it’s like the mantle and like the crust

[9:40] and just sort of work your way down got got a layer of like virtual boys like throwing off like a bunch of radiation oh I miss mine

[9:50] yeah upon saying it I remember that you had those fun memories for Virtual Boy yeah well and that’s probably my only virtual reality experience compared to

[10:00] what you have going yeah that didn’t last so the retin can only take so much man how to gez how to unpack this so

[10:13] the because I want to cover it quick I there’s a lot of interesting things to talk of it but uh setup is fine um a little I I’ll call it arduous like

[10:22] there’s a there’s a lot of cables of course you got unpack and everything but straightforward I mean and it’s that very they had this huge massive book

[10:30] that came along with it like step step step step take one to two two to three three to four um So Pro called it 10 to 15 minutes to set up mostly just

[10:38] unwrapping all of it but straightforward and it and it worked immediately like it just worked fine there was no issue I only had one issue with one game so far

[10:46] where you’re actually supposed to kind of stand up uh my space isn’t really set up for it it’s not really super big by any means but there’s only one game that

[10:54] I was trying to said hey reach down here is that it was job simulator oh yeah you seen for that and so I reached down here to get coffee and every time I did I was

[11:02] just hitting like the physical couch and I couldn’t go low enough to get the coffee your own coffee over you’re just like oh damn it it’s hot there’s heat

[11:10] sensitive in here as on a quick quick as side that’s an interesting thing because generally when I’m playing games like I do love to

[11:18] have a coffee or a beer or a whiskey on the go and I can’t do that with this because now you don’t know where it is I mean it’ll fit

[11:26] under like sweet down we’re going to have a nice glass ofy and I’m going to play some Mortal Kombat it’s great and I thought I’m like wait if this TV was

[11:36] strapped to my skull I couldn’t find my glass and it’s like my glass was precariously resting on the couch because that’s the only

[11:45] time I can take risks anymore so I’m like baby asleep wip’s gone like if this breaks it’s my own fault but I have only my myself BL but I’m like I

[11:57] could not do this with VR because I would not it down just kind of fumbling around in the blindness for it and yeah yeah I think if you were smart about it

[12:07] if you had if you had like a an actual just straight like chair beside that chair was a strap it there was a there was a side table you could just and you

[12:17] know it was there you put it between your feet like there’s there’s likely some ways to go about it but it’s not as obvious of just having something beside

[12:23] you so any setup was clean uh the experience is awesome like got like in seeing it it’s much like seeing a movie theater where it’s very clearly a

[12:34] screen um but if you compare that to your home TV which is much higher definition and brighter in colors and such but there’s still that impact of

[12:43] seeing a huge screen of seeing the movie screen where it’s just like oh wow this is amazing and then when you get into the actual games it doesn’t particularly

[12:51] like matter um yeah they’ve done it like it’s really it’s wild to be in these places and it it works so well for many of them you

[13:00] saw the game of like the heist where you just have this like mobster guy coming just screaming at you and then you’re trying to grab this gun you grab a gun

[13:08] you’re shooting things and just immediately but this and every other game you’re finding your natural intuition takes over as far as like I’m

[13:16] going to lean over here and see if I can see somebody you have guys on bikes zooming up the side and like just very naturally there’s I mean there’s and

[13:24] there’s no instructions on the screen besides like some minor like tips but like without instruction like I opened up the car door and I leaned out the

[13:33] side and I started shooting beside it as he was coming across um you know what I relate that to is in

[13:40] the old days where you see this the people playing Super Nintendo like Mario Kart and they like lean with the controller to try and follow the car on

[13:49] screen there’s this one on Rails shooter bit of a hor thing and you you have to do some actual like physical movements for it but that that would lend well to

[13:58] it because you have these like beams flying towards you and if you don’t duck like this if you don’t you actually just get hit so was great um one of the so

[14:08] two two other big ones before we find some other way to kind of talk around it but um to the bigger experiences how one of the greatest examples I think

[14:19] of what could be the future of it is a very I haven’t seen a lot of talk about it online bizarrely but PlayStation included a game you can download VR

[14:27] worlds wait no no that that’s one you can buy this one’s a play VR playroom sorry it’s a downloadable thing it just it just

[14:35] features their little I think you saw them initially with the move controllers and the camera where we had just like the little um Eve from Wall-E looking

[14:44] guys running around yeah so they produced a bunch of games for VR with that um a bunch of them are supposed to be co-ops so you have people like with

[14:50] move controllers trying to throw things you’re a monster um there’s one where they’re describing things on screen to you who have a headset much like keep

[14:58] talking nobody dies which we can discuss in a second um but this particular one is just a platformer so it’s just you and you’re kind of this um floating head

[15:07] you actually can see your body and like your head move the shadow moves with your head too which is really amazing that really helps to get you in there

[15:14] and your controlling this guy um neat enough like that’s that’s really kind of cool but one of the things that happens is you’re firstly

[15:24] you’re kind of looking around they got some of the secrets you kind of like peek over edges and you can see down below the cliff do oh there’s actually a

[15:30] guy down there you send your guy down he goes one of the things with the controller it becomes this Gatling hook right so you kind of in most of these

[15:40] games to help you with the immersion part the exact way that you’re holding and controlling your um controller is exactly shown on

[15:49] screen so you can see your controller and if you tip it it goes one to one exact movements just to help you feel like you’re in it right cool and you can

[15:57] so you can so you can see this thing then you like you shoot off this grappling hook and it will connect to things in the

[16:04] level and then you move your guy and you move him across you have it so you’ve now shot this thing in the level and you’re balancing him as he’s going

[16:11] across this rope one of the things is you can actually up off of this rope they like get up and gets

[16:18] coins and then as you’re running around with him and then you see a hook over there you shoot it up you actually pull it down which reveals a new area and he

[16:25] goes into it so as opposed to just hey look at this like you can look in 360 which is a really kind of lazy way of doing it like that’s so

[16:38] that’s that’s that’s kind of like the Baseline like fine yeah I’m in the reality virtually but this one is where that

[16:44] you have this physical presence and you’re interacting with those elements on screen and this this is like this is like a five minute demo but like just in

[16:51] playing that you could just see if it had like a full Zelda Style game yeah with these typ of elements and there’s there’s one that they’re releasing

[17:02] Skyward downward sky or something to that regard um yeah I know which one you’re talking about is it w wward Sky yeah yeah they got a little they got a

[17:12] bunch of that so it’s platforming you’re hitting things and it’s going off but you you just really feel it like it’s that that was stupendous I couldn’t

[17:20] believe it like just you shot this thing out and you’re in the space and you’re throwing it out and guys are running around it like man if they can connect

[17:29] you to some of the events and some of the games if you think back to some gaming experiences you’ve had and you’re able to suddenly kind of just be in like

[17:37] really manipulating that space much more than just the controller then that could be something now um so I’m trying to talk fast I just want to get through the

[17:48] Baseline then kind of I go with questions or just we can talk I’d like to talk generally about it I’m curious to know what you guys like think you’re

[17:54] taking a Q&A that’s awesome so guys I have it you don’t suckers that’s the future of virtual reality right there yeah I’m just I’m

[18:09] trying to like I just want to encapsulate it because when I’m hearing people talk about it online they just

[18:15] it it feels like they almost want to be harsh on it or they want to go against it or they’re talking about specific Tech parts of it as opposed to feelings

[18:24] and emotions and like how they’re doing really well to evoke it now do you guys like horror games no yeah I play at all a lot oh

[18:37] okay so K you you just so it have to this might be the greatest the kitchen right feature are you Kidd not that one no not okay oh the

[18:49] I play I played it I could talk to that too but there’s another one here here they lie okay that had to be one of the that

[18:56] experience was so pH phenomenal I hate horror games generally um and I don’t think I’m not sure I’ll buy this one because I just really don’t like these

[19:06] things but you are you’re going through they’ve done they’ve solved the movement thing there’s always going to be a bit of a disconnect between you and moving

[19:13] your character in line because you are an avatar so you’re seeing first person but they’ve made it it feels like you’re walking in a

[19:20] dream where you definitely have control but you have not complete control like you’re limited but that was that’s perfect because it makes it terrifying

[19:29] because you know you can’t move quick and all the Big M yep okay yeah I’m looking at screenshots of it now it looks very

[19:38] interesting and that see that undersells it though like because that’s that’s kind of what Resident Evil did and it’s like hey aren’t we gross and crazy like

[19:46] blah and that what’s the real amazing thing is that you’re they’ve done a great job for the Ambiance the sound design is just over the moon

[19:56] unbelievable like you very much in the space right and some like you walk on glass and you can just hear crink it’s stupendous unbelievable uh you feel

[20:07] great it feels exactly like a dream they’ve just nailed that motion and you’re walking down and they just take at one point they just take all of the

[20:15] walls and they just absolutely sh they shift everything right everything just moves around and and scores in and out I would almost I would call that almost a

[20:23] movie Trope right where some you’re walking in the haunted house and all the walls kind of move around except that’s always been presented to you on a flat

[20:33] screen right this this has happened this is happening in front of your eyes this is in real quotequote real life happening right there it is bizarre to

[20:44] see something that you expect to be solid just start to shift around in such a way like it stunning like it was just so mesmerizing like

[20:54] it was just blew my mind for that regard and then it uh yeah just otherwise really great senses of dread as you’re walking

[21:02] through like it well I mean the one like I I hate it I hate jump scares and I I was just trying to keep grind like I was tapping my feet to remind myself like

[21:12] look all right stay here because they’re gonna try to jump scariest it just like remain calm and I go in this one room and I close the door or I open the door

[21:21] I walk through the room and I close in as soon as I do you hear kind of like pig noises behind you this space behind you in VR is Terri terrifying by the way

[21:29] I’m pointing behind my head this is all very scary because you can’t get back there very quickly but you hear it perfectly and you know it’s there if you

[21:37] were to turn around it’s terrifying okay because so like I get through this room and all I hear is like the py noids and everything and he starts like you hear

[21:44] him scuffling like right up beside you and by the time I look around he’s already like killed me and it’s away it goes the second greatest

[21:53] um horror experience and again this is and this is a horror Trope except you you’ve never experienced in real life quote unquote real life where um it’s on

[22:03] Russia you’re with us buddy gone that’s it it’s so real this this is a rush of blood um it’s a on rail shooter and like literally you’re

[22:13] literally on Rails in a roll on a roller coaster as you go through and this one quiet room in its entirety it’s incredible from the visual perspective

[22:24] and things like coming at you um and not being grotesque about it in well the visuals are grotesque but grotesque in that as things popping out at you all

[22:32] the time like they’re actually if anything with horror I think it’s all about the subtlety like when you don’t see things

[22:39] like that’s what until dawn y That’s again way kind of thought of you with it as well so um you you go into this dark room you

[22:49] could barely see anything your move controller is a flashlight and you just hear on far on the left side like hello and you put your flashlight over there

[22:57] it’s just somebody like a you know ghoul girl kind of looking at you find a post and she disappears and then like hello and shows

[23:04] up over there and then she like hello looks over on the right side and then all of a sudden it’s just like hello it’s just like right beside your head

[23:10] and you look to the side like Bam Bam like they’re just right in front of you and it’s you almost like you should have I should have expected it again

[23:18] that’s an absolute Trope like looking around and then like the camera just doesn’t show the left side of the screen and as soon as they do they’re just

[23:23] right there yeah except it instead of being a flat screen that trying to imagine yourself into you’re just actually in this like 3D space and you

[23:33] could have like just I could have like not looked there either right like I I could have heard it on the left side but just totally

[23:38] look to the right and be like nope you don’t exist I’m not gonna engage so wow um yeah it’s an unexpected I just it it going

[23:51] into it I had and it’s who knows where it goes I don’t know that anything’s cemented um but going into it I thought

[23:58] there was going to be a lot of incredible 3D style experiences much like I tried with the EV Valkyrie where I’m just in a ship and I’m flying around

[24:06] and I get to look around and it’s fantastic um the places they took it with the sound design the immer like the true

[24:15] true immersion of you being in some of these spots is um astounding like it’s it’s remarkable with they be able to pull off

[24:24] and if especially with horror it just feels like horrror now it’s so well understood how move like movie wise they know exactly how to how to do it right

[24:33] how to make it scary how to make it real uh sound design is just incredible with horror games I think they’ve really well I don’t know

[24:42] that I trying to think like are they going through a Resurgence I’m trying to think with horror games had a small resurgent they’re getting back to their

[24:50] roofs like I think Resident Evil sort of need more more actioning for a bit um but with games like alien isol and

[25:00] Outlast um until dawn uh there there are some experiences out there now that are a little bit more I think the idea of they’re making

[25:10] horror games where you feel vulnerable and I think that’s the key is like with horror games that sense of like a prime example is dead space

[25:23] first Dead Space yes you had great means to defend yourself but it was always just in the cusp of being not enough um so you always felt in danger and in

[25:35] Peril by Dead Space 3 you were Iron Man Poor I remember hating Dead Space 3 Dead Space one was like the cream of the crop that was perfect and Dead Space 2

[25:47] actually was I enjoyed it um but you could start to feel that sense of like okay like and it’s a weird balancing act like I think

[25:56] it happens with gamees sometimes is that of like do you want them to feel vulnerable or do you want them to feel powerful um and it’s a really hard one

[26:07] to balance Far Cry series is another example of that Balancing Act you know further along in the series they get the more powerful we seem to be getting as

[26:16] players which is affecting for me the experience um but yeah I think with the horror game aspect is that you see things like alien

[26:25] isolation and Outlast which are very similar in gameplay style it’s a lot of hiding a lot of evasion um I think that along with the VR

[26:36] like peing with a VR headset and like that sort of like hesitant observation hesit look um that is something I think is very intuitive um so I think that

[26:52] plays really well with that means of interacting with something um so I think like as you said like it’s that sound behind you that sound next to you do you

[27:02] look at it or do you look away and the fact that you don’t have a cinematographer deciding whether or not you get to look away instead it’s you

[27:10] like or your neck muscles are the cinematographer and do you have the courage to trigger them in the direction to progress the story or are you going

[27:18] to cower until kills you um so that those moments like that where I’m intrigued like I I I find that’s one of the few things that sort of P but does

[27:29] it pull me enough to invest or is it one of those things where I treat it more like a a carnival ride that I’ll experience a

[27:38] couple times a year but do I need it at home kind of thing like is it something that’s going to take over my daily gaming or do I still prefer to just sort

[27:47] of enjoy my gaming through the screen um like for example last week I played the demo for Outlast 2 and there was a jump scare that almost made me you know sh

[27:59] verbally loud enough to probably wake my family luckily I choked the screen down um but like I had a very visceral experience and I had that visceral

[28:10] experience looking at a TV and I didn’t feel like oh man if I hadn’t been able to actually control my POV it would have been different like I didn’t feel any

[28:19] sort of hold that that said maybe once I start to poke my head down this Rabbit Hole maybe then I’ll look at that differently but like right

[28:31] now I just don’t feel the the lack like I don’t feel like there’s a deficit in my current experience that needs to get

[28:42] filled with the other that said like I’m really excited for it I’m excited to see how it develops like I don’t think it’s I’m not going to start saying I’m not

[28:50] going to get on soap box and claim it to be snake o like I think it’s a very valid direction for the games industry to go um I’m not entirely sure if it’s

[28:57] going to replace the current sort of status quo but I think it could be a very it could be one of the few times that we’re going to see an alternative

[29:06] Branch to the game industry and a very sturdy Branch at that that’s not going to be a fat or a flash in the pan but instead going to be

[29:14] a secondary direction that game designers can explore that uh game enthusiasts can explore that you know it’s it’s not it

[29:24] doesn’t have to be one or the other like I think we might be seeing this sort of like oh there can be both like you know there there it’s the same with like the

[29:34] film industry there was Classic Hollywood for a long time and then we started to see kind of more offshoot Indie and we started to see that with

[29:41] games as well and then now we’re starting to see like 3D films or like Cinema Blockbuster experience versus you know something a little bit more art

[29:49] house and it’s like as an industry gets older you know it starts to grow more branches and some branches do okay some branches wither die and I think VR might

[29:59] be one of those branches that g to stick with us and stick with us quite strong yeah Al I think the um it’s G to be some growing paines I think there’s gonna be

[30:07] a lot of people just put it’s like hey and you’re also now in this space there’s not like a lot of advantage to it oh there’s G to be so shovelware

[30:14] there was gonna be when came out it was just a it was like a ball pit where like there were a few decent balls in the

[30:27] ball pit like that’s what they need though they need to do that push VR right

[30:35] yeah I think that what’s good though with they with the disc that they included the VR worlds from them like it just sets such a high bar for what’s to

[30:45] be expected for um even with their um VR playroom like it’s again just setting the table and for them they also each one they include a demo disc

[30:55] too like which is just handpicked experiences um so and this is I think it’s about like it’s like 16 games like it’s a

[31:01] bunch nothing things for you to poke around and just play and try and all of them each have something really unique and it’s a really interesting awesome

[31:09] thing to try and I think it kind of in many ways because that’s the beginning of it I think it level sets in some way too like

[31:17] with even with shovel at the Wii when you had um when you compare it stuff to bowl like instead of Wei bowling and Wii tennis like those things were so

[31:26] fundamentally fantastic yeah and fun like we bowling I still see people like posting like records on it they’re still playing it why still have

[31:35] a Wei like honestly we have a Wii kicking around we’re not going to garage sale it or get rid of it anytime soon because we like to have the option it’s

[31:44] like the janga set you have kicking around you have family over you’re like hey let’s put this on yeah and and I just wonder if with and I think there’s

[31:54] a good part of me that feels like that’s why they chose the partners that they did and also put together these packages like to take that wi approach like if

[32:00] you would do nothing else with it except those discs it’s like that this is everybody this is the level they found the system must be like the Wii had a

[32:10] great system seller combination they had fantastic hardware and bundled software that makes the hardware immediately enjoyable yeah and that’s the same thing

[32:21] that we’re seeing with the PlayStation VR we’re seeing really really solid Hardware bundled with quality software people are really going to dig and it’s

[32:30] going to let them have a great first impression of the hardware and because of that they’re going to be willing to take more risks on the additional

[32:37] software to come out some of it’s going to be great some of it maybe not so much but the fact that they did that onew punch that Nintendo did I think was a

[32:47] very very wise idea and I’ve heard nothing but good things about stuff coming along side that with the the demo dis that comes with PlayStation VR that

[32:55] they really cherry-picked great roster of experiences and a very well like a diversified uh selection of experiences and I think with um sorry

[33:09] continue yeah sorry no I think so I saw you nodding before when I mentioned uh keep talking nobody dies yes I think one of the the

[33:20] other kind of exciting Parts about this is it’s also um with with a genre like horror that’s really honed and it’s kind of having a bit of Resurgence like

[33:29] people kind of know what to do and then now they’re given this tool to build games with it like that’s damn exciting but additionally with this with the

[33:37] rising accolades of Indies game like don’t talk and no one dies for anybody who doesn’t know like the player in the VR world is looking at

[33:45] a bomb it’s randomized to have certain things the other players are looking on a manual on screen and one has to describe it to the other okay it’s got a

[33:53] red wire and a circle knob and this and they have to go through the manual and figure out how to disarm um but the fact that that that that type

[34:01] of experience it’s almost like if you try to think about like connect connect failed for many reasons but say the connect didn’t move and how

[34:10] they didn’t particularly take off and the approachability of those peripherals to Indies you’d have to almost think like

[34:18] that you know non-existent like what what Indie would put together a game for a connect as opposed to with this already I can think of uh there’s this

[34:26] one game like bound which looks like the really beautiful like platformer one there is a Super Hyper Cube Super Hyper Cube yeah Super Hyper

[34:35] CU would like take would take phenomenal effect with this there’s obviously don’t talk and keep talking nobody dies like the it’s kind of with in re Within Reach

[34:45] of developers oh easily like when I do the every so often I’ll do um like game jams um which is basically like a bunch of game devs hang out for a weekend like

[34:55] you know three days or so and everybody teams up and makes games number of like Oculus K kits that I see kicking around at these jam sessions

[35:07] like it’s it’s a very it’s a very approachable piece of hardware and I’ve seen probably at least a half dozen to a dozen different teams like just

[35:18] experiment with uh doing VR development it’s it’s one those things are like in a three-day Jam weekend people are making games for these

[35:28] systems so uh it’s a it’s a hardware that is approachable where I’ve seen maybe two or three like connect uh Indie sort of like Jam games or like uh kind

[35:43] of like thesis papers for Game Dev students um I’ve seen maybe like a couple of those tops um and that was even near the end of the connects

[35:54] lifespan where you were seeing like where it should have been its most approachable where they should have had dead kits ready to go um I think too

[36:04] like with PlayStation Move and connect versus like the VR stuff um there’s a lot of competition out in the VR industry right now with the hardware

[36:14] resources where like those other ones were very much like uniquely PlayStation and Sony and to get the de kits for them like you have to sign a lot of

[36:23] disclaimers and and stuff like that where the other ones it’s like well just buy the and do it um so I think right now they’re a little bit looser with the

[36:32] de kits for VR because they know it’s a more of a higher competition pool for development so they want people to use their Tech so I think they’re seeing it

[36:41] being a little bit more open source in that regard so yeah so I think um it seems to all come together for a

[36:50] great time I think Oculus warmed up everything but PlayStation coming out with what you’d consider like the first consum like truly consumer friendly

[37:00] version of it like um no drivers no crazy thing it’s just couple cables of course like I said 10 15 minutes and it works really well

[37:09] and they launched with some really great titles and so one I didn’t want to discuss Resident Evil the they call it kitchen I guess um it it didn’t work as

[37:20] well for me as the other one um there’s parts of it that did and I think it’s the type of thing where it’s it I think this is where they could stumble

[37:28] where there were Parts where uh obviously you know creepy lady with a knife and and she’s literally just ra up in your face right at one point so she

[37:37] kills somebody else and it goes around and she kind of she’s coming for you and she’s like holding a knife like right just right in your basically in your eye

[37:46] like so it’s kind of nuts to see like right in front of you of course and she’s all gruesome but you know at one point two

[37:54] and I think it was like bit of mistake on their part she stabs you in the leg mhm like you’re tied up in your CH by the chair there’s another guy passed out

[38:03] um he gets up he tries to help you he struggles with her she kills them she she comes at you now one point she stabs you in the leg and that that took you

[38:10] out of it so much it’s like well that didn’t hurt so that’s clearly not my leg and then she’s like menacing you with it I’m like well your knife does nothing to

[38:18] me so this isn’t very menacing but there’s two parts that either on purpose or by accident were incredibly menacing and one is when she first arrives

[38:28] because you have your bodyy in front of you he’s taking up uh your focus so you’re tied in the chair he’s knocked out he wakes up he comes over here let

[38:34] me help you um he has a knife he’s trying to cut you free you’re holding up your shackles and you’re you’re FOC you know you’re obviously looking at him

[38:41] that’s the action and in the corner of your eye just super subtly and for no reason all a sudden like just like the per the

[38:48] monster demon lady like pops her head a little bit I’m talking like totally in the corner I’m talking you’re in a room that’s complet like very dimly lit you

[38:57] can barely see in front of you but you just kind of notice this like kind of shadow in the corner and if you kind of stare at it it starts to look like an

[39:04] outline of somebody you’re like the hell is that and all of a sudden like it just starts to move like a little bit too fast and starts like coming towards them

[39:12] there just that moment was like oh because that’s playing with like natural senses around like oh God and like this like I

[39:20] mentioned before like the parts behind you are just absolutely terrifying but the real terrifying part is that like behind you is a door

[39:28] sorry like a uh two walls that lead to a hallway and that the space somehow is so greatly realized like you’re definitely aware that there’s a space

[39:39] behind these like these two um places in this entrance way to the hallway and and you’re just thinking like what’s behind that like there could

[39:48] just absolutely be something over there and for a couple of the experiences like you just hear and and they don’t even they don’t go anywhere which is again

[39:57] like this is just where you can tell they’re starting to really hone the craft but there’s a couple sounds like a couple crinkles or clearly someone’s

[40:02] walking and it’s just like what’s that and that leads to nothing like it’s not a pop out event like blah look I’m gonna get you and there’s a few of those where

[40:09] just like there’s these crinkles and there’s these Open Spaces that are dark and not defined and it’s like what is what could be in there right where your

[40:17] imagination is doing all the work which is you know a tenant I think of Great Horror and then but again so there’s Parts though where so she’s like she’s

[40:26] right in your face she looks creep creepy and she’s got the knife but like I was like smiling at it cuz it’s just like oh look at you silly demon lady

[40:33] silly demon lady um there a few parts where she um yeah so in that part she wasn’t particularly uh terrifying at the end

[40:43] though she you just hear sounds you can’t you can hear scuttling and you can’t find her and per the part like we talked to where like I don’t know if I

[40:51] want I want to find you but all right so you he on the left you look over there she’s not there here on the right and like where the hell is it then like all

[40:58] of a sudden just like her hands kind of creep over your eyes a little bit and then next thing know she like comes as if she comes on top as if she’s

[41:06] on you and then like now when you’re looking around she’s just right up in your face and then I point like it it goes off and it dies but um or you die

[41:14] sorry so but I’m telling you the two parts where succeeded was just that like corner of your eye shadows clearly defined as something

[41:22] which is never seen that in a horror I’ve seen in horror movies but never in a game and then just these Open Spaces with the sound it was just like oh

[41:30] creepy as hell so cool H the so Jeff you’re gonna buy one I totally would the price point I would I know but they’re gonna

[41:44] have an issue selling them just because you do have to try it like once you try it or any virtual reality machine Oculus survive or whatever it is a totally

[41:55] different unsellable experience in my opinion like I was you played you played Eve falkyrie didn’t you Eve falkyrie and the um deep down or the shark one which

[42:08] was cool it was awesome it was a great just totally different experience that I couldn’t like e Valkyrie was just awesome getting into the the Starship

[42:19] like I talked before and you could see the turret and the proportion of that to you and then look down and you see the armor and dodging missiles in your

[42:27] actually like looking by and watching the missile Float by your ship and blast off and the carriers that warp in like amazing experience I totally want one

[42:38] the problem is that my kids are running around and I think Sony gonna have a huge problem with like they can’t get the 12 and under piece of the pie

[42:49] because they’re not supposed to be using it so i’ I’d be worried even if they said it’s kind of okay I’d be pretty yeah geez I don’t know what I’m trying

[42:59] to think how old I’d be comfortable with a kid using it and even for like a 14year old I don’t know just yeah I don’t I’m

[43:08] sure 3DS right 3DS is probably somewhat the same not the not the same experience obviously but it’s using your eyes in a different manner than what they’re

[43:19] supposed to be focusing on yeah so I can see that similar but I wouldn’t put them in like the kitchen demo or something like if

[43:28] experience the playful robots that’s fine to do the dishes again what you should do is put your 10-year-old to sleep you sneak in you

[43:39] put the VR system on when they wake up it’s just a creepy lady floating around but I don’t know man I would I totally am down to get one it’s just I

[43:55] want to see what else comes because I can see all the experiences and like put a lightsaber in my hand and do a full Star Wars game that would be amazing

[44:03] like make me god with a move controller that would be the games where like what’s that yeah the price make it happen just

[44:14] like that’s it I I just need it Star Wars me I heard one of the um supposed to be some sort of

[44:20] VR version of Battlefield coming out right of Star Wars Battlefront yeah you’re in a swing or whatever and you do a I think it’s like an hour or two demo

[44:30] it’s kind of like a Batman Arkham experience oh but you get it free if you bought Battlefront so you just download it and go for it yeah I bought

[44:40] it for PC and I still hate it so I think man but if yeah with the move controllers and again they do the great stuff in putting the peripher those

[44:49] peripherals into your um actual site so you can like see and hold it and it moves properly man they better be working on one where that becomes a

[44:57] lightsaber because if they’re not that is this how is that I don’t know that’s not a launch game and that seems like a

[45:04] wasted opportunity or even boxing like you said like we came up with all the sports games right you just do a boxing where you’re actually blocking your view

[45:12] God you can man I love boxing games like EA should had The Knockout the fight night or whatever they have man that would be drop money come

[45:24] on make it happen seriously I’ll um jeez let me gu you about one more and this is probably about the last game because I’ve probably gone through

[45:33] them all but the drive Club was done really effectively the racing game because the it does well in so you’re able to go around the car entirely

[45:42] you’re able to get hop into various parts of the car and like look around so you’re absolutely inside of the car which is incredible experience but if

[45:51] you’ve ever gone go-karting um it’s not it’s not a great sense of nervousness but you kind of get that like a little bit of adrenaline when

[45:57] you’re about to take off on the go-kart like because you’re actually on the track right and that this definitely achieved that sense like so I was

[46:06] sitting in the car for the first time and you’re just you’re in the cockpit you’re absolutely definitely in this thing and you see your hands on the

[46:13] steering wheel and you look to your left and like rearview mirrors and you’re just ready to go and it it was so it’s so cool to be inside of the car driving

[46:22] and again that’s just one of those things where your instincts take over so you’re like looking in the rear of your mirrors to see if anybody’s coming up

[46:27] like you’re looking on your left to the right you’re tracking turns and other cars like that’s another great experience for it with uh driving around

[46:37] like and just like where was able to invoke that emotion too where just like you had that like like I said that kind of dring Rush when you’re at the start

[46:43] line like oh gonna go it’s gonna let good let’s go um but any uh any motion sickness though like with any of those games because I heard that was some

[46:53] concern to some people but they they kind reckon it um as like um they have you have to get used to it so your body’s not used to certain games where

[47:02] there’s no stationary point so if you’re moving along with the course um people were saying that that just triggers some sort of puke mechanism

[47:13] to the only I got I got it and I was like it was amazing when I did it was with Eve Valkyrie okay and I guess I’d never done it in in the demo I got had

[47:23] no motion sickness when I was playing the actual game I think it was a moment of quiet and I just started to do cork screws and all of a sudden I’m just like

[47:32] okay selfed maybe maybe less Quirk screws that and that’s actually it’s the only time that it happens which I’m trying to think about if I was actually

[47:41] flying in a plane and I’m just like spinning myself constantly I’d like to think I probably get a little bit dizzy I hope so yeah so so fortunately no no

[47:50] motion sickness for any of it I the other big one is when people are walking like when you’re trying to like walk around um and it happened a little bit

[47:58] with the uh the VR playroom that I mentioned where it’s a little guy on the platformer the first for the first

[48:06] little bit as I was getting kind of used to it I definitely felt it wasn’t definitely not sickness like nowhere close to being sick but a little bit of

[48:13] like whoa okay I’m not just not really being quite used to it right so but eventually I was able to like got into it or just adjusted how I responded to

[48:23] it so it was fine even the corks through thing got better they seem addressed it with a like a vignette I was reading up on it so if you look at

[48:30] the edges of your screen they’re darkened mhm so it kind of Likens to the same sense of your peripheral so you’re not

[48:37] totally seeing all these details move by and puking your guts out because you have some sort of weird vertigo that happens that’s why that’s there okay

[48:47] that was interesting I uh it’ be interesting nothing thus far but U one think one of my favorite lines is somebody called them like

[48:57] someone on a podcast referred to them as privilege goggles well yeah it’s hard yeah that that price

[49:06] point is just it’s that’s hard man like the it’s fortunate enough to be able to kind of swing it and I’ve been planning for this one for a while but

[49:16] um yeah like I don’t think my yeah I’m just not sure how many folks would be able to just so easily go and grab it like that’s a big

[49:26] bit of gaming budget especially at this point too because I think the Wade and see approach I have hopes that it sold

[49:33] pretty well and that will just continue to rise like I would be wouldn’t be too surprised if it was a

[49:42] solid start right like they they sold out not sold out they they sold very well um it’s not like through the roof iPhone

[49:51] level type of stuff but like like no this is a great start and now they just need to prove themselves and get those absolute

[49:59] killer non-stop like this is you have to now get this I mean I mean Gavin like you’re both of you like you’re the way you’re describing it in that you’re kind

[50:08] of on board but you know you want to wait until it proves itself to be something just

[50:13] so worthy of so much of a budget unless they’re able to come down in price but I can’t imagine how mine also of the time like it’s it’s cool and all but like

[50:23] what games I currently have on the go what style gaming I currently enjoy um that more than satisfies the time I have for

[50:36] gaming so like you know even if the price point was somewhere it’s still it’s an investment of trying to carve out those

[50:49] moments in a week to be able to sit and enjoy without having to make sure I got an ear open you know because a lot of my gaming right now too is gaming when the

[50:59] little one’s sleeping and I can’t fully immerse myself in something because like it’s me you know it’s like my wife might be at work or you know she might have to

[51:08] be running errands or something so it’s just me and the little one and she’s having her an app so that’s when I can sit and enjoy a game so I can’t even

[51:16] really game with headphones on let alone a full emersion like I need to be able to keep an eye and ear on the baby monitor and watch for those little

[51:24] lights to spike in case she needs need to come in and so you and your responsibilities I know um but that’s the thing is like right

[51:32] now like in I don’t have those moments of being like okay I can clock out and just like you know I’ll see you in a half an hour tap me on the shoulder and

[51:42] I’ll try not to act too startled um so yeah it’s like I I think I would enjoy it I really do but it’s like I look at it like another hobby rather than like

[51:56] just augmenting my gaming experience like I look at it in a new hobby entirely in a type of hobby that’s just for its current price point and for the

[52:08] amount of time I would want to spend with it to make it feel like I’m getting my investments worth um yeah I just I don’t know if it

[52:19] really is calling to me quite yet um but that’s a very unique like me perspective as well like it’s not even just the dad perspective it’s I’m uh I have a

[52:30] tendency to take on too many projects so uh it’s not just my responsibilities as as a father that it’s just the time I have like I’m I’ve been maybe when uh

[52:41] you know a few months when things calm down if I don’t do my usual thing and just re up with more work um if I can find some time for myself then maybe I

[52:52] might look into it because it does look interesting like I don’t want to be one of those non V are people who just sort of like you know FES it it’s like no no

[53:01] it’s it’s cool it’s neat it’s exciting I’m excited to see where it goes I’m I’m happy to see people investing in it and enjoying their investment I’d hate for

[53:10] Trevor to be like hey guys I got one and then the next day being like hey uh anybody want um real honest truth I have

[53:20] a problem is I have a I have a real kiss of death for technology anything I tend to get like excited about seems to die so I don’t

[53:30] know just because my what I get excited about in Tech I I I’m the owner of a Playbook Blackberry playb no that I paid that I paid yeah I paid

[53:41] full price for that whoa Playbook um I I’ve owned multiple Windows phones Windows phone was my favorite uh phone system uh me and the other six people

[53:53] who own such things please tell me you had Zoom I wanted a zoom I thought they looked really nice oh my god really yeah so I

[54:02] don’t have a sterling track record of picking technology and I almost wish I almost I almost worried that I’m the kiss of death in some ways or just like

[54:10] if it appeals to me that means that it’s woefully out of whack with most normal people it you totally have a curse you should just give that unit to me and

[54:18] we’ll be the um I think with um so I was able to get I I had a smaller session with um the two things like I was surprised

[54:29] that I was able to have a really long session uh the previous night um I was worried about like longevity like how long would you actually want to sit with

[54:36] this thing and actually had a really long in depth one the previous night and that was excited about I had one moment where baby was sleeping um I’d kind of

[54:43] caught up on some host things so I was like all right I got like 20 minutes nice um the monitor we use tends to be pretty loud

[54:50] anyways so I just had like the volume adjust as such that if the if the monitor went and it actually did like he stirred didn’t wake up but he stirred I

[54:59] was able to hear him just kind of De immersed for a second jumped out of it like to know like okay pause pull myself over the Matrix make sure the

[55:12] co turned the volume down he looks fine we turn off his baby monitor I got I got demons to slay I’m doing virtual

[55:24] baby just yeah virtual it’s like Dad why do you keep going to this virtual family I feel like you like it more than us my my

[55:32] virtual son would say such nonsense virtual son doesn’t question me like this God yeah and I think the um this is I

[55:43] think if you’re if you’re getting into it now it’s um early adopter um they might come up with better Tech uh there’s the new

[55:51] PlayStation that’s coming out that I think renders it even better um they might do a second version that cost less or it’s better like double resolution

[55:59] something and you know the jury’s out whether or not the games will be there but I guess to summarize it is that

[56:09] it’s it’s stunning and it was much better than I was even expecting um and it’s been a ton of fun I’m really going to be excited to share

[56:17] it with people and have them over uh there’s a bunch of games you can kind of play with multiple folks but just also to put some unsuspecting people through

[56:23] the shark trials and everything else so so thus far like it’s it’s been it’s exciting man I’m really and I’m more than anything too I’m happy with the

[56:32] current roster games I have for it but I’m really excited to see what’s next like I I’m I’m hoping there’s G to be some big cool massive games that they

[56:42] released for this because it’s uh damn because what a I’m try I think the line I said to my wife was like I’m trying to imagine going back to 14-year-old me and

[56:53] explaining the world I now live in where where I just went to a local game store and purchased this new reality in a box came and a strapped to my face and

[57:05] like just the stuff that you can do like it’s man there’s one if nothing else like you should check out a screenshot or a video

[57:14] of the online multiplayer for E Valkyrie an unsettling scene is that as your uh one of the overarching themes is that in fact you’re dead you’re just a

[57:24] memory inside of this like big computer complex and they and then they just put you into clones or like computer bodies to fly your

[57:33] ship one of the settling scenes is that you’re choosing your ship and all like your load out for the particular match coming up and you look to the left and

[57:41] the right and there’s just these other pods with similar looking pilots and they’re all just kind of like looking around with like the headsets on that’s

[57:52] pretty it’s kind of that’s pretty I think and I’m wondering if it’s actually connected to like I tried to like shake my head to see if like somebody would

[57:59] like respond in kind yeah I couldn’t but it didn’t seem like anyone really noticed so it’s either like but just there’s this this moment where it’s just

[58:08] like okay I know that’s what we actually are doing but you don’t have to like you don’t have to like Rush this into the future like that’s kind of sad

[58:17] that this reality is you being a virtual reality pallet right I just watch Ed game so oh jeez

[58:27] that’s too perfect so that’s the uh that’s the future we’re heading towards but um yeah so I guess as uh no and I guess last thing I’ll say is just I

[58:36] think a lot of the games and experiences tend to favor smaller play playtimes which as dad’s that’s good that’s kind of like what yeah because yeah because

[58:44] of being a very immersive experience like it’s not like you can’t get that time but it’s just something you usually have to negotiate with someone else kind

[58:52] of being like you know what you know you you keep your ear to the ground I’m going to duck it reality for a moment but if it’s only

[59:01] like like a 20 to you know 20 to 30 minute session I guess too with the technology you don’t want your eyes to fall over your skull so you know the

[59:08] whole whole thing sort of like makes you want to indulge sparingly you know and and be

[59:18] very economical with your time in VR so I think with that it’s it’s a little bit more conducive than like one would initially think cuz it’s like well to

[59:28] completely shut myself off from the world for that much time is just not possible but it’s like no no it’s like 20 minutes don’t worry it’s like it’s

[59:36] it’s no longer than like going and having a shower and you’re just as detached from being able to handle anything in the world when you’re in the

[59:43] shower like indisposed is indisposed it doesn’t matter if it’s with a VR headset or you know shampoo yeah it’s a 30 minutes like

[59:53] really immersive incredible experience and like like I said yesterday I was able to do a longer playthrough but it’s there’s definitely lot so many

[59:59] experiences that are very conducive to Quick times nice so I think um yeah on the whole it’s incredible I think that they did a phenomenal job the game lists

[1:00:08] are a lot of fun it’s easy to set up a lot of fun to get into incredibly immersive and you can just really see potential and like damn if I’m not I

[1:00:17] hope they pull it off I hope this goes someplace because man the potential you see with this thing is just so exciting this this

[1:00:25] this this current reality sucks I joke I joke but um yeah man it’s good on them fantastic so so happy now did you gentlemen have I should have

[1:00:38] checked before the show did you have a beer pick for the week I did kind of just like throwing that at you last

[1:00:45] minute okay you want to Le us lead us off yeah it’s another one from uh s City Brewing Company it’s old Woody alt old Woody oat alt like alt

[1:01:04] alt go on oh there it is y see so my eyes aren’t fing with me um no it’s nice it’s uh it’s they say it’s their take on

[1:01:19] a German Amber I’d say yeah it’s pretty close except it’s got a bit of um that typical micro brew kind of bitterness at the end that sort of hangs out a little

[1:01:28] bit longer than you want to um but still enjoyable um I’m actually my case of beer that I have on the go right now is lot nine pilsner by crar and is actually

[1:01:42] really nice it’s it’s I think I might have mentioned it before but uh yeah it’s smooth clean finish uh just all around just a good

[1:01:53] easy drinking beer um this is more of like a you enjoy one then that’s you’re good um but then there’s other ones was like that was refreshing I’m G to crack

[1:02:05] another uh this doesn’t really fall into that category so if you’re just looking for a nice flavorful pint and then call it a day this is definitely a good but

[1:02:14] if you’re looking for something to enjoy over a long weekend uh maybe you know back toback GE if you’re really spoiling yourself and uh this one might start to

[1:02:24] build up on the pallet a little bit so unless you have like lots of food to cleanse I’d say you know one and done

[1:02:33] yes then Jeff you got one my beer pick of the Week Big Mouth by Hop City Big Mouth Tap Room I cracked this thing ice cold and it woke me up like crazy

[1:02:49] like there is so much Orange in here like there is just so much Citrus at once of all people of all people to for this to happen too it it’s it’s like

[1:03:00] pale ale big mouth I’m like oh it might be kind of a hoppy taste to it but whoa orange so orange you’re glad is not banana yeah it happened we were on a

[1:03:14] streak with no dad jokes but they came back yes oh he’s he should tell his VR family that joke they laugh oh man the VR dad experience we get to

[1:03:28] go up and the crowd will laugh no matter what joke you say yeah that’s right yeah so this one not the greatest for me I’m sure somebody that likes

[1:03:39] orange in their beer would love it but there’s a lot in here big mouth for big oranges me no not for me it won some a Belgium reviews with

[1:03:55] like you’re not beer out of my beer yeah exactly it’s like you’ll notice a fruity Taste of Jeff like let me me stop you there back that up a

[1:04:09] NOP how how close in proximity has this beer been to a fruit tree and if it’s anything greater than a 100 kilometers yeah don’t give it to me don’t don’t

[1:04:20] open it yeah should uh should preface that the joke I said was because Jeff did not like a banana beer that I’m fond of aren you glad it’s not

[1:04:33] banana oh gonna go go to bed with a smile on my face tonight so I’m uh I’m gonna cheat a bit

[1:04:42] I’m actually going one back to one I had previously but I actually we had took a family trip to Niagara this weekend so we went to nagr the lake

[1:04:52] first and we went around to a bunch of the stopped off in an orchard we went to um pick up something which if you want some death stairs bring your kid to a

[1:05:02] winery because just as far as like there’s like look at this irresponsible parent bringing your kid along to a winery how dare

[1:05:11] you you you wo get out of here so anyway and uh yeah then he he doesn’t have the patience for a wine tour no no so we just visited a couple

[1:05:23] quick places but neagra on the lake is home to what was my surprise win of the oost house oh by uh oh sorry so the beer sorry is the barn Razer by OST

[1:05:38] house a Brewery located in Niagra now they currently not the LCBO or anything and I’d only found it on tap at a couple restaurants going back a few times

[1:05:47] specifically for it I’ll say that like it over time that I’ve had it a few more times I found that the Hops have become more pronounced than when I first had it

[1:05:56] which is either just a remnant of the food pairing I had it with at the time but just the same like it’s a great Brewery like I bought this other one

[1:06:05] that I’d like to I’ll review um at a different date I’m curious to see what their other type of stuff is this the other one I was a dark one I’ll try that

[1:06:13] different date but yeah if you can ever find it especially on top of the place a barn razor by ostos delicious just a bunch of flavor

[1:06:23] nothing too crazy as far as like oranges or yes what have you but one of one of the greater hop profiles I’ve ever had I’m not a guy who

[1:06:32] likes hoppy stuff but this is delicious pick one up yep yep my VR world yeah VR you can have any beer you like without the taste taste is uh taste

[1:06:46] is coming soon did you guys see the smell of vision that the crators of South Park released at a Pax event no but I can only imagine what they

[1:06:54] released with that I thought I thought it was going to be just an onion article but then I saw videos of people actually putting this

[1:07:02] thing on and it’s literally like smell reality so I think like they just pipe sense in based on what you’re seeing in the game oh my

[1:07:13] God now paired with VR yeah next step there you go as well as like a you know a module that goes into your mouth for Taste and like you’re all about it just

[1:07:24] imagine those horror games yeah those swamps and the moths the fireflies I’m just thinking like bleeding ladies and the things
