[0:09] for in front of the kid but as far as playable sessions I thing is is a good antidote for Dad rage oh there you go that’s

[0:17] G like it’s one of those games where it’s like you’re really frustrated with a teething toddler who’s just a big ball

[0:25] of fussy whiny tantrum and you’re like finally them down for a nap and then it’s just decompression time and just you know take all of that that

[0:38] frustration out on a hord of demons [Music] yeah it’s just the game is beautiful in its Simplicity by hold the this is this

[0:50] is good stuff hold that we’ll get into oh this is good that one I want that the show God damn it this is it we’re already in there when you when you did

[1:12] away sounds like a bumper sticker or something new Dad’s away a really bad Power Ranger spinoff buch of lazy DS achieving menial

[1:25] chores oh the law the adult beverages are poor the kids are asleep welcome to New dad gaming show about fatherhood gaming and new

[1:36] fathers figuring out their gaming lives my name is Trevor and I have a one and a half year old my name is Gavin and I have a one and a half year old and I’m

[1:45] Jeff I have a six-year-old and a three and a halfy old and we are here the U so I’ll start I’ll jump right into two bizarre baby

[1:55] stories that happened to me this week first one being is the taking us in the daycare uh we were a little bit late so they already kind of

[2:03] started a class and there’s this there’s this teacher and he’s like this is a Red Ball Red Ball and he’s passing it along and and I go into the class and I look

[2:13] at everybody and there’s just these like perfect little kids just sitting quietly like watching him raptured like not moving not

[2:21] fidgeting I like what drugs are these kids on like there’s no there’s no way in hell my kid is going to sit sit down like are you nuts

[2:31] like he’s not going to do this like there’s no violence he’s not running like he’s not he’s not going to be involved at all like what is how is

[2:38] there like 15 of these kids and they’re just perfect like what’s up like like lit literally the next day he runs out of the classroom and grabs one of like

[2:49] the outdoor cars and then proceeds to like slam into the door until he gets inside and like starts scooting around in this outdoor car inside space and

[2:58] it’s just like yeah yeah that’s him like try to teach him red ball and see what’s on all I picture is like The Simpsons episode where they put buckets

[3:06] on their head Homer and Bart and they run at each other and yeah it feels like it’s deserved on my side it’s just like well he’s yours

[3:15] like enjoy then the other one like and then completely counter to that tonight for the first time ever he was just sitting on the bed and then

[3:26] kind of came down like grabbed my hand and just like let me into his bedroom as sleep it’s like what the was what was this are you

[3:37] okay are you sick should I take you to a hospital what’s going on yeah it’s messed up like he his his beds have certainly started to get a lot

[3:47] better I think he just kind of like has started to accept that like oh okay I like sleep I can do I can do this but like the the whole he just like

[3:53] literally kind of gave up and like walked into his bedroom just like what like this is amazing such a contrast to you know Mad Max

[4:02] style kid and slamming into other ones one of his in the other day it was it’s a new daycare and first day he wait it’s a new daycare because why because

[4:14] kid broke her might be telling is the first his literal first action was to punch another kid with a car oh got the CT dominance that’s

[4:25] all find the biggest kid yeah the kid was definitely older than him too much bigger just like kid tried to take his car and instead of and during the

[4:33] wrestle he just proceeded to like use the car to like I’m like oh well enjoy bye H good kid good

[4:45] kid yourselves how was your week in fatherhood um pretty relaxed actually it was um just a solid week uh we’re getting her on to like learning new

[4:58] words and stuff so that’s been exciting uh getting some good progress on that and uh lots of good play time just running around having fun she was super

[5:08] excited about bath tonight so that was uh you just say like bath time and she just like it’s so excited because she just loves splashing in water is her

[5:18] favorite thing um so yeah it was it’s good we don’t have to fight her for bad time she’s just she just can’t wait so we have to be careful not to say the

[5:28] word when like it’s not bath time because it’s just going to be disappointment and then she’ll just be upset but yeah know it’s uh all in all

[5:36] it’s going well yeah um we managed to get a date night on Saturday uh we had uh what’s what is that I know it’s weird we we had a b baby

[5:50] sitter I think that’s what they sit on yeah had um brother and sister-in-law come by and uh look after well kind of look after it was like we got the baby

[6:00] right up to like an hour or so before bed and then just sort of like tagged in it’s like okay well when she’s done eating then put her to sleep and then

[6:11] we’ll be home soon so uh yeah so yeah got to the baby down for like a baby all set up with a babysitter and then we headed out and went caught a movie um

[6:22] the uh theater in our neighborhood has this VIP section thing going on now um which is fantastic it’s amazing I’ll never go back back um especially too

[6:34] like we don’t go to the movies very often so we don’t mind uh that little you know extra expense to it but it’s like we got to sit and like eat really

[6:45] nice food and enjoy a drink with like these crazy like half Lazy Boy half like classroom desk kind of set up because it’s got

[6:58] like the the table that swings out in front of you um and it’s got like it’s like a powered recliner it’s really nice so uh yeah we went out and we saw John

[7:09] Wick 2 um was so much fun ah I want to see it uh highly recommend it it uh it’s definitely I’m not spoiling anything say that uh they’re kind of setting things

[7:24] up for a third like I think they’re going to keep going with this thing oh of course yeah movie for the whole family yeah it was so good that that the

[7:33] gun fu in it was just like oh it was a sight to behold um so yeah I had date night that was good we haven’t last time we had date night we went and saw Doctor

[7:45] Strange so that was the last time we had a babysitter to be able to go do that so it was it was really nice for just the two of us to be able to get out and uh

[7:54] and yeah baby was great uh you know she had a little moment of realizing weren’t there but then that subsided and then she was a little trooper for the

[8:03] babysitter and uh yeah we came back and I think they had fallen asleep on the coach watching like CNN all right that’s

[8:13] fine [Music] so Jeff and how about yourself how was your how’s your fatherhood uh it was

[8:20] pretty good we had a big weekend this weekend just uh semi semi Milestone I guess you’d say uh my oldest son was going to the auto

[8:31] show with Grandma oh so Grandma and Grandpa and Grandpa’s in a wheelchair so it’s really just Grandma looking after him and uh her husband so we had to have

[8:45] the if you get lost talk and wow here’s your phone number talk and we I think wew wrote his phone number on his arm just in

[8:57] case um took a picture of him in his clothes in case he was lost and then had that whole you know these are good people these are bad people and these

[9:07] kind of situation so it was a definely uh it was like an eye opener to uh the future just those different worries come out where it’s not like oh you can hit

[9:18] your head on this table and you know that’s a danger it’s more like somebody could take you and it was kind of just um a lot to handle in one day but it was

[9:28] it was good ended up being good he had a great time everybody was safe no running away cuz uh my oldest is quite the energy ball and he’ll bounce everywhere

[9:39] so that was a little bit of a concern in a in such a crowded place because thousands of people are there how was your day at home like without him

[9:47] amazing having one kid guys I love you this is great we spoiled him uh his little brother got to go and get some ice cream

[9:58] came shopping with with us he was happy as a clam they’re totally different personalities when they’re separated it’s just like they’re nice polite

[10:06] asking please and thank you it’s not like they don’t always do that it’s just it’s just a different total different person um they’re not looking over each

[10:15] other’s shoulder like what he get that I didn’t get what’s that you got two scoops ice cream I only got one what what’s going on how can I ramp up this

[10:23] situation so I mean like just with the nerves like were you a bundle of nerves for the afternoon wondering would go not really it was more um kind of like

[10:33] making sure he had the full the full story going into it so setting down the rules and sitting them down just for 10 minutes to go over what’s going to

[10:42] happen and this is kind of like a test like if you fail this test this is not going to happen for a while because Mommy and Daddy will not uh go through

[10:49] this again so this is a test this is on you this is you to gain a level in uh responsibility he likes putting it into gaming terms so

[11:00] um that’s kind of cute that way uh but no it was a bundle of nurse to start at least for myself and then as soon as he was gone it was like all right what do

[11:09] what do we do I’m sure he’s fine it’s okay like ah it’s all right yeah no was big mouse down the talk geez a good test yeah like the leveling up too do you

[11:21] have like a like a leaderboard at home and like you see like bar prog progress bar going everything is like experience points and levels now so it’s funny he

[11:32] relates everything to games I think I got him into gaming too much but uh perfect there you were the ultimate new Dead achiev achievement

[11:42] unlocked so recently uh just there in February we had the dice Awards dice Awards 2017 and who better than to review games

[11:51] that probably none of us have ever played then three dads be perfect so we thought for this episode we’d run through the Awards kind of speak about

[12:00] the games just like quick quick takes there’s quite a number of categories it’s kind of interesting to see such Fanfare start to be put around games and

[12:09] I think I think we were all pretty pleasantly surprised with some of the entries some indie titles some smaller ones like some kind of nice experiences

[12:17] I got through but uh yeah so thought we just we might just try to go through all of them unless it starts to get boring we’ll cut it off

[12:25] but yeah actually I wonder if hold on yeah just to make sure we get it in I’m gonna start at the game of the year and then we’ll jump back to the list

[12:35] don’t okay go no just kidding Game of the Year OverWatch ah what do you mean that’s a great game no it’s not it’s it’s perfectly dad friendly like the

[12:47] design is gorgeous it’s a whole lot of fun there’s a lot of classes you can play you can find your mix like the sessions are super quick so you’re in

[12:54] and out but here have either of you even played it I yeah I have wall I play the demo and I was like ah it’s not for me so I hopped out so I yes I will admit I

[13:04] didn’t go all in but like comparing that one to say Battlefront right they launched with the same number of maps the same character classes like powerups

[13:15] all that stuff EA got run over the coals for that they’re like there’s not enough Maps there’s not enough play modes and then OverWatch does it charges 60 bucks

[13:25] on consoles at least and they’re like hey this amazing I love it you think it feels like a bit more

[13:33] like yeah it just felt like a much more cohesive experience and like so much more charm and like care and life and Artistry put into it would you not think

[13:41] I think well I think Battlefront like captured Star Wars like to a te like they had the music the graphics were gorgeous it’s just I think it was a lot

[13:52] of what could have been with that one that people also with Battlefront one of the big issues was the fact that um like OverWatch what they released is what

[14:04] they released and there wasn’t any sort of indication that they held stuff back to try to get more money out of you yeah I

[14:11] could see that as a big thing but with Battlefront like it really felt like they were um like they had a they had more of

[14:21] a game to release but they chose not to relase all of it and instead withhold a fair bit of content to then sell in intervals at a later date and I think

[14:33] that’s sort of what set people off was that they’re like wait so you already had this stuff ready to roll out like why didn’t why is it not part of the

[14:41] game like I think that was sort of the disappointment factor of it um because like that it’s something you haven’t really seen with OverWatch and a lot of

[14:50] some of the DLC and community support stuff they’ve been doing has actually been included with the game um so yeah I think that was maybe sort of it as that

[15:01] was that business philosophy behind the DLC that EA was was partaking and that sort of left people feel left people feel a little off put by it I was I yeah

[15:14] definitely was I don’t know if it’s and I think with um like if you look at their the the next game they did like this year was the battlefield one and

[15:25] that game was very well received um but it also had a fairly fleshed out and apparently very good uh single player campaign and then a decent map selection

[15:38] and like they still had a DLC sort of forecast and a plan but it didn’t feel like the game suffered because of needing to hold things back to sell at a

[15:48] later date so I think with Battlefront it just sort of yeah I think that’s where they sort of missed the mark on that it just felt like it wasn’t

[15:56] finished or not finished but it just was everything they had to offer and instead they’re like if you want everything we have to offer you’re looking at about

[16:04] 170 bucks which is ridiculous it’s ridic yeah it’s ridiculous in both I think selling a multiplayer only game for 60

[16:12] bucks and then Battlefront 60 bucks times two for all their deals I guess the multiplayer only for 60 bucks like I don’t think that’s too big of a deal

[16:21] because like if you think of how many hours you’ll get rid of something like that if it’s a multiplayer game that has really good community support and it’s

[16:30] going to have legs and survive for a while which blizzard is renowned for doing um I think that that investment isn’t that bad uh

[16:41] it’s not like it’s subscription based like some of the other games that have that same sort of Community Support so you know with OverWatch you know you sh

[16:49] up 60 bucks and have a good time and you’re probably GNA have you’re going to see that much enjoyment more than you would for let’s say a $60 sing single

[16:57] player campaign of a that you might not take as [Music] much it’s going I think you’ll see that

[17:06] OverWatch is quite the uh recurring theme here through through many of these yeah actually this next one here this this kind of a quick one but one that

[17:15] we’ll be able to agree with is the uh it’s outstanding achievement in animation Uncharted 41 yeah yeah so the only Contender I

[17:23] could see okay so funny one is that included Street Fighter 5 and there’s no chance that looks like garbage man I’m playing through the I played a little

[17:31] bit through the campaign and it looks so awful yeah like the things are clipping and like the mouth movements and I know it’s poorly

[17:40] translated and that’s okay just like it it looks so bad it’s like nowhere close it should be involved but yeah I think because that’s the thing they weren’t

[17:48] talking about like animation in gameplay like they were just saying animation in general in general yeah hard one with Street Fighter the gameplay

[17:57] animation is actually really well done because it’s well tuned as well who are playing it can do like frame counting and understand when to do the

[18:06] Counterattack um like there’s a a function and form balance with their in game animation but yeah the cut scene stuff was just like that’s that was a

[18:15] phone in shot there um whereas like with Uncharted I think the reason Uncharted one was that you had this level of quality uniformly distributed throughout

[18:27] like the ingame animations were stunning like seeing his fingers kind of grip onto like a ledge and how depending on the angle of the ledge like the finger

[18:37] positions might change it’s like that’s intense um just even the animations of him sliding down with the Shale and stuff like that and the gravel like that

[18:46] was wonderful and the mud and how it like came up in these beautiful clumps and stuck to things like but then the cut scenes like the the facial muscles

[18:55] and the sub nuances and expression was also incredible so uh yeah that was just obviously they’re going to run away with it like I see the

[19:07] would be a contender too because it’s a 3D game using um like smear and stretch and Distortion techniques that you don’t see in three 3D games that often um and

[19:19] like these are techniques that make for really funny screenshots um but they also add a lot of life to the animations um and it’s something that is an

[19:28] experiment mented that much uh in gaming and to see it being done um I think it’s definitely tip of the hat but as far as just pure beauty like Uncharted sort of

[19:38] nailed it yep yep let’s see outstanding achievement and art Direction inside took that one have you guys have either

[19:48] of you been able to play inside I had a chance to play it but from what I’ve seen I’m very intrigued by it like it looks like it’s

[19:56] um some interesting sort of choices made with its aesthetic um especially with play of light and stuff like that so um a game that looks similar to that it was

[20:08] a ah it’s like a silhouette based was on Xbox for a while came over PlayStation at least this is well this is the follow-up to that game is it

[20:18] I did not know that yeah same same studio so it’s kind of funny because theyve almost found their niche as far as sad dark depressing

[20:26] game God cheer up a little dying in the yeah come on is thato yeah it’s so this is the same

[20:35] Studio they produce both those games actually so they they got their Niche buddy can’t wait wait for their followup their followup

[20:43] sad that’s the outstanding achievement in character The Last Guardian Trio I have not played the yet which one’s Trio is that the Beast

[20:53] or is that the kid Beast okay I say you better not give it to the kid better be the Beast yeah that’s the kids yeah that

[21:03] one I don’t know because I haven’t actually had a chance to really play it um I think that’s that’s GNA be a tough one for a dad to pick up honestly like

[21:14] it’s looks so charming and like it’s kind of in our wheel hose with RPGs and with IO back in the original PlayStation but man put time into that um it felt

[21:26] like like a game Lost in Time like if from what I’ve um heard from people who played it like the general consensus is that this would have been

[21:36] absolutely phenomenal um you know 10 years ago um because like the game itself has been in develop development for so long um the

[21:48] original concepts of the mechanics are almost feeling dated because of that so yeah it’s uh I don’t know like I think of all the things in the game that

[22:00] was successful that I have heard is that you know that that Beast is absolutely adorable um sometimes not the smartest you know not the brightest crayon on the

[22:09] box but you know um still in Beering nonetheless so outstanding achievement in original music composition doom and this is the only entry in the entirety

[22:21] of all these Awards just just Doom just just doom doom this the only thing Doom won out of everything and I think might I think is sad because Dune deserved a

[22:33] lot more nominations because it had really concise art Direction game design mechanics are phenomenal um but I got to say that music that they did um I’m so

[22:46] happy that they went that because man I find it unsettling I find it really unsettling which is kind of the point well yeah like it’s yeah I just there’s

[22:56] like um there’s actually a documentary out there um I will hunt it down and uh try to post it uh in our various uh media blasty things that we have um but

[23:10] they they broke down like in the last part of the documentary it was all just about sound design and the music and yeah it’s just originally they’re going

[23:18] for like a Sci-Fi theme and then they’re like let’s just do some metal and uh It just fits so well especially that opening where it’s like at the beginning

[23:27] of the game logo comes up and you have this heavy like guitar and then it ends with the sound of the shotgun cocking like you just you

[23:37] know what you’re in for it’s just that that little moment of audio so beautiful just like ah I’m gonna shoot demons in the face

[23:51] that’s probably like the one reason that won yeah actually it had that’s what push him over the edge it’s close give it that’s that’s it winner yeah no

[24:03] and it had like I think there was some really solid moments um as far as like things like Crescendo happening and letting you know

[24:12] like how much danger you’re in like there there were some nice moments with the music and it telling you information but um also uh [ __ ] um that game the

[24:25] audio on it is like the music and the audio was beautiful and I actually got to meet um uh one of the fine folks who worked on the sound design for the game

[24:36] um at uh PSX and uh super super nice guy um so I was really pleased to see uh see that nominated like a awesome because good people doing good work getting

[24:50] getting getting a recognition so but yeah I’m all for Doom I’m happy they one because that was just that music hope enjoy it because that’s the only thing

[24:59] they won outstanding achievement in sound design Battlefield one any Dad here played Battlefield one

[25:08] haven’t played it yet I want to I remember play the single player um because I like the idea of World War One well not the idea of it but like I would

[25:16] like to go back easy whoa the demo was pretty it was was pretty intense and the sound in like at

[25:26] least in the headphones was in insane and there’s like an audio mix that you can do is um it’s like War tapes so it’s kind of like the old school um way of

[25:36] communicating and the sound is all kind of muffled and stuff it’s kind of neat interesting yeah all right so we got um so Uncharted takes the next two with

[25:45] outstanding achievement and story and that’s you know how on Earth are you gonna of course yeah outstanding technical achievement Uncharted 4 as

[25:55] well which I think no man’s sky is listed here yay wow I know Uncharted was like insanely beautiful like in the way the

[26:07] physics worked with certain puzzles and stuff like what they’re able to stretch is just

[26:15] insane we can even push ahead too because they had Uncharted Four also for adventure game of the year which also kind kind of feels like a no-brainer

[26:24] yeah yeah let’s see now this one’s a bit I would say this one’s you know what right now I’m playing Tomb Raider and I’m really digging it and I’m kind of

[26:34] thinking like Game of the Year least gotten nominated for adventure like oh yeah yeah it wasn’t a nominate no no yeah I mean you see here king’s quest

[26:46] the complete collection which feels a little how’s that a game from last like of that year like it’s a it’s a collection of work from previous years

[26:57] like I don’t understand some now here’s one you won’t understand so action game of the year so here’s the runner up we have Battlefield 1 Doom

[27:09] Gears of War 4 and Titanfall 2 those are the runners up for Action Game of the Year y would you guess which take it which takes

[27:18] it OverWatch yep that’s not so look I I like that game but that’s that is a weird one what are you talking

[27:29] about like that’s a yeah I find that like I don’t know when I think action I think like action narrative like I think that idea of like an action storytelling

[27:38] experience in a multiplayer only game I I think like yes there is action but it’s not it’s not scripted you know it’s not

[27:50] it’s not the experience that you’re getting the action that you’re getting to experience in OverWatch is is actually being orchestrated by other

[28:00] Gamers um the tools that they’re using to create those moments of action are provided by the game designers but the moments of action those

[28:11] interactions are are being provided by fellow Gamers so I think it’s just doesn’t quite the category yeah um and also Doom should have

[28:26] won one of the best action experiences I’ve had in years yeah that one felt that that one should have gone to Doom yeah that’s a dads are enraged that

[28:36] should have gone to Doom all right here’s one for us here we go family game of the year goes to Ratchet and

[28:48] Clank oh yeah I’m still waiting to get that one just we have dragon Runners up Dragon Quest Builders Lego Star Wars force awakens rock band

[29:00] Rivals Super Mario Maker for 3DS congratulations did did although I am gonna say with the launch of the switch that category next

[29:15] year is gonna be much different like very different yeah 80% of that category is going to be like Nintendo switch exclusives like

[29:28] it’s that’s what it’s going to be Mario Sunshine 2 Mario 643 remastered Mario switch I’m just

[29:40] gonna has two entes who does what racing game of the year oh yeah yeah oh that’s embarrassing but but first fighting game of the year can you guess what did

[29:50] it yeah five was there any was there any doubt yeah racing game of the year two only two titles that seems even even isn’t it

[30:03] drive Club VR isn’t that one of the nominees I don’t have the list in front of me but for Horizon but like honestly let’s

[30:11] face it fora Horizon’s gonna take it regardless of how many others are in that category what else released there got to be something like wasn’t there a

[30:18] Mario Kart like asto Coretta or whatever that’s called there’s that one I don’t know there’s a couple other racing games that club was previous year that feels a

[30:28] little that think they tried very hard that’s just DLC for it yeah it’s just like yeah it’s a modification of the pre-existing yeah that’s a pretty weak

[30:39] role come on guys dicey dicey thank you like you do it once and I might have

[30:51] already might have ruined it already that’s it okay role playing Mass role playing mass multiplayer game of the year goes Dark Souls 3 I don’t get that

[31:01] category how is RPG lumped in with massively multiplayer and not Final Fantasy 15 in there yeah right like how does Dark

[31:11] Souls 3 beat World of Warcraft in a multim massively multiplayer game okay like Tom Clans is the division like yeah that’s wait yeah that that

[31:23] category is really weird right likef Drifter yeah it’s an indie game but it’s like it’s a kind of an RPG yeah that’s there’s no there’s no one else it’s not

[31:37] mass what is this division that’s what I don’t get I don’t know I looked at that one and I I had a double take because I’m like I think you

[31:45] Tred to combine two categories that doesn’t really make sense yeah it’s like with like um it’s like in movies and stuff or with like the yems and it’s

[31:54] like best comedy or musical it’s like why same like why can’t you just do one for comedy one for musical because like there’s all these great comedies that

[32:01] always lose to the musicals because like oh they sing a song like comedy was brilliant why are they getting the award it’s like well

[32:09] they’re lumped in other people it’s like it’s like bumping track and field with basketball just different be different like why are we putting them it’s like

[32:20] going to Olympics and having to compete in both simultaneously it doesn’t make any sense I’ll say this is not um this is not a dad category there’s no chance

[32:30] well actually well do sex man can divided but again that’s just a weird well half of it is a dad category that has RP it’s yeah I know

[32:39] kind RPGs are hard do SE even as an MP dox like i’ say dox has has RPG elements but it’s not like a

[32:52] RPG like you don’t it’s more like a running gun what is this category like DSX is it’s it’s not really yeah

[33:02] it’s it’s not an RPG in the sense of you’re not creating a character and building of that character no like fighting with a team like Jensen is

[33:11] Jensen right so like Jensen do Jensen yeah like there’s not Skyrim where you start but even actually know because in that same

[33:20] argument like The Witcher that’s an RPG yeah but like you always one the wit okay I can’t look at that list any longer this is really

[33:31] confusing I’m happy with this next one I still haven’t been able to play it Sports Game of the Year steep I’m happy that they won because that’s that game

[33:38] looks really interesting to me like I like that idea of like here’s a mountain have fun yeah it beat FIFA Madden MLB NBA like

[33:48] that’s uh that’s great good hope to play that see it feels like a good data experience because steep looks like you

[33:55] could just like hop on the mountain and kind of relx just kind of slow I end up doing in Grand Theft Auto anyways like I usually wind

[34:04] up well like we’re just like playing around with the geography and like this is a whole game about just enjoying the geography it was the same sort of thing

[34:13] I would do with like uh Grand up Auto and just cause the thing I like is just finding a mountain and taking a vehicle or some method to propel myself and just

[34:25] Happ at it so I think this is actually like it’s a sports game that I would sort of gravitate towards no pun intended because I can hurl myself

[35:29] they didn’t want no man’s Sky to win like cuz like where’s farm farm simulator you know yeah no that’s true and those are really popular actually so

[35:38] so popular but yeah simulation just get removed and then because it’s it’s okay it’s like the other one the role playing mass in multiplayer but

[35:47] if like there wasn’t any multiplayer like like well then why why do you have that in a category title like there’s nothing in here for

[37:20] one I would mind trying because super hot looks super hot nice much better um and I expect you to die I got to kind of watch people play that at PSX and it

[37:45] essentially like you’re in a a bond villains death trap and you’re a spy and you have to try to find your way out of it and fumble your way out of it um so

[37:56] it’s like you’re either locked in a car and it’s like the cigarette lighter will be a laser and will’ll try to you know cut you in half or diffuse the bomb in

[38:05] the steering wheel or yeah all sorts of stuff and it’s you’ll probably die a lot that one really original but apparently um you know pretending to be

[38:16] a bird while seal sings to you um it but takes the cake cake I haven’t played any of these just full disclosure so I honestly don’t know what I’m talking

[42:05] layers of everything and just OverWatch comes with six maps of cartoons and beats them wasn’t it broken though wasn’t the

[42:13] vision had a rough launch yeah it was it was not too same with Street Fighter too right didn’t that launch broken it’s still not some

[42:24] controversy all right outstanding achievement in game design OverWatch but I’m kind of happy to see there’s alboy made it on this list yeah

[42:34] that looked like a nice one that looks really Charming that looks like a perfect game for a kid it’s like 10 years in the making too I think yeah

[42:41] quite a while long time coming I was kind of happy Uncharted didn’t take it I don’t think it needs to no

[42:50] especially it’s like it’s game design yeah so like you know that’s more about um like balancing factors and stuff like that or like Uncharted is a really fun

[43:02] game but they haven’t really done anything different to its overall design yeah nominating a sequel would be kind of weird unless it takes a really

[43:10] different turn but this is just the fourth chapter and very much a rarded game so that’s almost a weird domination honestly with some of the puzzles and

[43:17] some of the mechanics but um I’d say like the fact that it won technical is more appropriate because you know that mud that mud

[43:29] is so good last one Jens outstanding achievement in game Direction goes to inside again inside takes it it was an

[43:38] inside job wow I’ll have to play it to understand it because from the previews I saw yeah it’s very depressing and I

[43:47] don’t know if it’s it’s seems like a pretty heavy game I don’t know I watched a bunch of play it’s just I just can’t get into these type of games like I I

[43:55] like to do escapism with my games and it’s just I yeah like I tried limbo which is I guess the prequel or whatever um at the previous game and

[44:04] limbo I don’t know I played a couple levels I think it’s kind of a drop in Dropout kind of I wasn’t stuck with it like I wasn’t I ended up eating it like

[44:12] I did start to finish and it was it was an interesting experience but I also don’t mind you know dving down the rabbit hole kind of thing like it it was

[44:23] I found the dark nature of It kind of in ing I know there something kind of cute about it but I also really like horror movies and stuff so it’s that maybe that

[44:34] that sort of allows me to digest that sort of subject matter a little easier um but yeah know it was uh it was definitely an interesting playthrough

[44:45] that’s for sure but inside I might check it out you know what I’ve seen a bunch of again I don’t disparage it it’s just

[44:54] definitely not what I want to spend my time on I’ve seen number of playthroughs I’ve watched the ending actually oh well jeez I heard some people talking about

[45:02] so I got really curious so I watched a bun a couple playthroughs and then also checked out the ending because I just I just know I’m not going to play it but I

[45:09] wanted to still experience it so that was that was my dad experience in the game inside is there anything anything you guys had played or currently playing

[45:20] that you would have liked to see in one of these categories St Valley perhaps like should that would you like that would have been

[45:28] I don’t know where it would fit but yeah well according you can just put it anywhere according to gu so right like it grabbed a hold of a lot of strategy

[45:38] Sim sports game yeah um but I I don’t think Final Fantasy 15 was on there at all right that was a pretty huge Miss I think now what what hold on what um when

[45:50] did that launch though was that January 2017 oh no no I don’t think so I thought it was no November wasn’t it okay that could be I can’t remember but yeah that

[46:02] one or like Hitman I thought Hitman was pretty cool yeah that they did a really cool thing it’s a little bit different right

[46:10] episodic content I don’t know how you rate that in an award system but they might have screwed themselves there but um I don’t know if anything else

[46:20] firewatch was now made right because I yeah firat was out us a number of times which is great I’m happy to see them there that was a wonderful

[46:31] experience yeah nothing particularly comes to mind I said No Man’s sky but I would have a hard time trying to say it should really be nominated for it

[46:38] because it’s just it’s a particular experience and it had enough issues so as to be to kind of taint any sort of win it would take

[46:48] yeah but nothing else that really I guess it’s missing except for those couple maybe all right so not a bad has a super weird list looks like a good
