Episode 106: Steamy Summer | New Dad Gaming

Who doesn’t partake in a Steam Sale summer? I mean as a gaming dad I remember the Steam sales being much more lucrative than today, but it’s still a great chance to pick up some hidden gems.

That being said, I won’t be adding to my backlog, but rather consider games that my kids might want. Or better yet, get some games that we will both enjoy and talk about. Some ones I have in mind are City Skylines (for the Sim City aspect), oldies like Age of Empires or even dabble in some Civilization.

Yes, those examples mentioned are some pretty hard games for any kid under 10, but it’s more about learning mechanics, introducing math, strategy and decision-making, while having a bit of fun.. and no nuking foes with Gandhi.

[0:04] the adult beverages are poor the kids are asleep welcome to new dad gaming I show what fatherhood gaming and new fathers figuring out their gaming lives

[0:12] my name is Trevor and I have a three year old and a 9 month old and I’m Jeff I have a 7 year old and a 5 year old so this moment for myself seems to be a

[0:23] real sweet spot with my son thing okay it’s just a lot of fun right now like he’s 3 years old and he can’t talk a bit you know he kind of knows what he

[0:36] wants we wrestle we’ll go to the park you tell it’s heisel arias right because from purpose but yes you will out of the blue say the weirdest things like mommy

[0:48] has boobies oh yeah yeah that innocent talk yep yeah no I just like go to park and there’s a dinosaur just nonsensical but so cute

[0:59] and I realized this I was putting the bed one night I’m just looking at him and thinking about the day we had it’s like man this is great

[1:07] and how small he still is so I can still cuddle with them you know I can still kind of hold him close like I think what hit me is up that’s gonna stop right

[1:17] like he’s going to be big this time boy even just like further right because it keeps hitting me when I hang out with my parents uh you know cuddle yes what

[1:33] am i doing so eventually go I will drink with this kid yeah you know I think like my sons so there’s this moment of time when he’s

[1:39] tiny small he’s hilarious he’s just babbling he’s energy and positivity so happy to see me yeah that’s amazing like the other thing like

[1:48] at this stage with yourself do you ever look back on that fondly kind of miss it or you just like very much in the current moment um I I do look back on it

[1:58] like especially when I visit friends who have kids around that age so you know three years old just seems I like the little chipmunk voice they still have

[2:08] these little cuddle they’re still asking you to do stuff with them and now it’s a little bit less than like it’s a you know they’re more

[2:15] independent which is great for your own time but yeah you lose a little bit of that where you have to almost as them to play so it’s yeah it’s different I don’t

[2:24] know and then you kind of remember all the other stuff that came with it so you’re like no no I’m good he’s resisting with every ounce as being

[2:34] potty training oh yeah and that’s just that really starts to weigh on you a bit you’re a small man you can form sentences now this is silly knock it off

[2:45] okay I don’t want to do the same walk but I’ll take it I’ll take it I suppose it’s just real positive thing of that kind of a kind of glowing moment I’m in

[2:55] as a dad that’s good on yourself like any anything big or interesting pop up dad perspective um yeah from dad’s perspective my kids are just finishing

[3:06] school well let’s be honest school ends at the end of June and it’s a wash from this beginning of June like they’re cleaning of the classrooms everything is

[3:15] in the hall they’re not doing anything they’re watching movies during school like that’s like and June is right off so I actually get to see all their stuff

[3:23] come home which gives me I’m kind of just insight into what they do all day is really interesting to see cuz it’s like they’re almost completely different

[3:34] creatures when they’re at school versus at home so I was just noting like my son my older sons drawings are amazing during yeah and it’s like at home he

[3:46] puts in no effort really to UM do anything that’s of like any sort of detail you just like rushes through it like okay yeah you want to draw it and

[3:55] then blahblah screwball in the paper but no at school it’s a really well done job it’s he’s created like little comic books like stuff I never even knew like

[4:04] it was just it was kind of mind-blowing to see that that stuff was happening even with my younger son like he’s you know he’s he’s printing more at school

[4:14] than he does at home and it’s just uh again something that you you don’t get to see during the day so you always wonder and if you ask them it’s like any

[4:22] other kid responses like you know what you do today nothing like like pulling teeth I remember doing that to my parents so I

[4:31] guess you know several life it comes back at you so it’s it’s you know it’s good to see that and there’s a big bundle of this stuff so it’s always that

[4:40] decision of going through it and either taking pictures or like you know slowly moving it towards recycling bin but we can’t keep all of it we have to kind of

[4:50] pile it pile you know they didn’t see what I can keep oh I’ve been thinking about that as far as keeping their work and just with digital leaves that were

[4:59] in if we can do some sort of thing where it’s scan it make sure that it’s prominently featured or like a Mac computer or something just that is just

[5:07] screen that rotates as a wallpaper just so that hey we scanned it we have a copy of it so we can get rid of this bulky physical version yeah cuz if we’re gonna

[5:15] go man it’s always the glitter they come on sand and stuff it’s the 3d like aspect to it the gem it’s all over the floor so yeah yeah take a picture of it

[5:27] store it digitally and then just you know kind of kiss it goodbye yeah kids in school so that’s an interesting one because that’s just something or so it

[5:35] seems so far away for us but you know you’re on the cusp you’re getting there yeah I suppose it gets to be JK or Junior Kindergarten for us yeah once it

[5:44] gets in but you’ll welcome to the load of stuff you’ll get home on Cheerios here you come I’m sure you get a whole that right now anyway so well especially

[5:55] with father to stay you will find yes you get a lot of homemade crafts and such so for all of us dads we are about a week out from Father’s Day to have it

[6:07] having passed so you know time for reflection a time for yeah remembrance of what went down exactly it’s a bizarre holiday I find it’s not really a holiday

[6:19] it’s just kind of a day of thanks to hopefully respect yeah there’s one day a year you gotta respect you get respect that’s it no some of you saw that any of

[6:32] the highlights from your Father’s Day oh yeah how’d you get the ashtray okay what has replaced the you know the ashtray of years past

[6:42] is painted coffee mugs so I have I think a collection of seven at my work that I keep in my desk and I don’t use them well I use them with stationery and what

[6:57] I do have for drinking but yeah I think that’s the new thing is painted coffee mugs him hand painted by my kids so that’s nice to see again it’s something

[7:08] that can I can bring to work and kind of store there and then the rest is the homemade cards and stuff which is again it’s something that they made and with

[7:16] you know dad in mind and they what’s funny is Eiffel say my older son did a booklet of you know why I love dad and it was all these like periods of time

[7:28] like oh I love my dad because he taught me to ride a bike and he taught me to do all this and really my wife did it so on some of those things I’m like you know I

[7:39] shrug the shoulders it’s in writing I’m sorry it’s mine now so otherwise yeah it was a good day to kind of receive all that stuff and and kind of take take a

[7:51] moment and hug him a little bit more and we ended up going outside and playing with them all day so it wasn’t really a period of rest but it was definitely

[8:01] yeah Dave dad so that really highlights mine there the one thing I really kind of got ultimately my two kids are too young for it so they weren’t really know

[8:13] one way or the other yeah the one thing I truly got was just an hour alone oh man that’s one Alden and we have a gift right cuz yeah and

[8:23] I’ll give it to you about it at first check here this Father’s Day you know maybe I should be with the kids and we’ll go to a park and I stopped myself

[8:32] and it’s like no like no tomorrow that’s exactly what I’m gonna have to do and then after that every day every other day yeah I have to spend time with them

[8:42] right but I have to yeah I know yeah there yes no I’m taking this one hour I play God of War for an hour there you go dad game coffee no actually

[8:57] I even had a beer I had a well yeah right when I thank God war what you felt very thematic yeah dad a boy played that for an hour and it’s right fantastic

[9:08] then kids came back and everything went right back to normal I can just see you trying to crush everything into that 60 minutes like

[9:15] alright I need to get a big like a couple beers in I need to get some gaming in I need to do some push-ups I don’t know something like just

[9:26] everything so the yeah I would’ve loved to have tracked my mood as I got through just that first ago I don’t know maybe yeah then being a little bit childish in

[9:36] some ways of demanding time alone so no no wait a minute no hold up good for me yeah let’s get let’s get to here still nowhere close to beating god of war our

[9:50] review of it now have to be it’s a year old and less a year out okay the second one by then come on keep chipping away but it’s just there’s not a lot of

[10:03] gaming time yeah savor that game it’s good I’m sad that it’s over so no have you had any time for games these past weeks have you have you

[10:12] gotten into anything I’ve dabbled again I was gonna go for platinum and God of War but I did not family he’s not I don’t have it in me for collectibles and

[10:22] so I love the world I love the game play but finding like there’s these Odin Ravens that are green throughout the world some of them are just in like

[10:31] these hideout places that I would never find so I I found myself looking at a YouTube walkthrough and doing it on screen I’m like what am i accomplishing

[10:40] here like I can’t get this time back so I’m I’m I stopped so I gave up and I’ve moved on to I think I’ve mentioned before but Assassin’s Creed origins

[10:54] which is Egypt and I’ve always been in love with Egypt so I’m on that game I’ve chipped away at that for a little bit each night so would you call it that

[11:02] friendly like is it bite-sized enough that you can kind of get get out as Anita yeah it’s very bite-size and it saves quite often like

[11:10] like an auto saving feature so it’s good just to kind of jump in jump out and I’ve done that multiple times even when the kids kind of come down from their

[11:19] beds when they’re not supposed to kind of turn it off for a bit so yeah I know total recommend from a dad gaming perspective if you like Assassin’s Creed

[11:28] kind of simple stuff right it’s nothing deep but you think for you you’ve chipped away it got a war right so god of war still on that hearthstone grind

[11:38] no that’s good it’s just it’s it’s this weird new appreciation for it where there’s enough of a card deck and I enjoy putting together some different

[11:49] decks and kind of hunting around so getting better not caring which is really bad this figure – two interesting figures I found out about first is

[11:59] something in the community they called a drank or dad legend Oh dad legend right so legend is you assail all the ranks 20 through up to what 0 right the ladder

[12:10] right to do each one you have to like win 5 to 6 times and some people will sail up the legend is incredibly difficult very few people do it dad

[12:19] legend is if you get to level 5 holy ok get the five like well I got that legend that is it yeah aspirational that feels a bit far for me the highest I could

[12:32] probably see myself as maybe 10 but yeah I’m not gonna be putting in that type of time into it I said the second thing that I found out is a good win ratio in

[12:42] that game yeah is somewhere between 55 and 60 percent okay that’s kind of like the average so you gotta imagine every time you to get from level let’s say 14

[12:54] to 13 you have to win five games kind of in a row oh so if you and you get a star for every time you win you lose a star every

[13:02] time you lose oh my god right some of you two wins two stars but then you lose one my yeah one and then you went to more then you’re up to three then you

[13:10] lose another one but then maybe it was a note because again it’s like but good rate is 60% so even the the greatest of the greatest

[13:17] generally you’re losing four out of ten games this seems dead mathematically impossible – she handles that you need to I wouldn’t

[13:29] think somebody have a month to get ranked before they kind of reset something oh there’s a time limit I didn’t think that I thought it was just

[13:36] oh oh wow that’s on the money because then the higher you get that you get better rewards they reward you at the end of

[13:43] month with packs or gold or whatever else kind of currency they have huh how you get the better it is it’s just kind of an interesting background thing

[13:50] though as I said eventually your mind kind of shifts from classic gaming I think yeah where it’s like I want to win all the time – this is chess I want to

[14:01] be careful in using that analogy because it’s not exactly the same but yeah it’s mind games a strategy it’s not just learning how to play your deck with then

[14:09] also understanding how they’re playing there’s to counter it so it’s always kind of like layers and to it that I’ve really kind of come to a like so that’s

[14:17] good it’s kind of become a bit Zen for me I don’t know where it used to be really heart pounding because I’m against other people yeah it’s not just

[14:26] like oh well there’s did you see fifty five cents a lives of this guy so what’s it matter so we’ll see we’ll see if we can ever

[14:39] achieve dad legend we actually had a gaming dad victory of the week no okay many shows ago who would achieve dad legend reigns a time I was like you

[14:48] know what that’s uh that’s pretty impressive that’s a big accomplishment yeah sounds like it but I’m talking of old gaming dad

[14:55] victories of the week we’d be remiss not to talk about new gaming dad pictures of the week and specifically this week’s winner of the gaming deck victory of the

[15:03] week this week’s victory goes to Bo grit who shared an incredible post on reddit describing his experience gaming with his two sons with overwatch a perennial

[15:15] favorite of gaming dads it seems so the post is kind of just a common bit of an essay or post to the community with a few questions at the end of it but it

[15:26] was really well said so I wanted to just take it word for word err I’m a 50 year old lifelong gamer dad and I with my son’s 13 and 17 I think my son’s

[15:34] first exposure to video games was watching me play World of Warcraft while I sat my lap play equals roaming Azeroth not fighting anything they also watch me

[15:43] solve the portal puzzles once they could actually slash really play not just sit my lap and watch we played poptropica minecraft Wii

[15:52] Sports and Lego Star Wars and a few other games that don’t really come to mind right now we played a lot of Minecraft a lot I remember what’s going

[16:02] to my oldest son’s school for an open house and got a call from them at home with a grandmother they had been playing on our minecraft server got to being

[16:09] silly and ended up partially destroying with lava castle I had built clean mode so upset so they caused this terrible catastrophe in this creative mode

[16:21] minecraft they move all the way from the Wii my oldest son is on has an xbox but for playing together we mostly use pcs one of us not to talk best experiences

[16:32] I’ve had with my son’s gaming or non gaming was playing World of Warcraft together we explored together quest together and raid dungeons together I

[16:41] really really wish I’d thought to record those games there were some of the absolute most wonderful things we’ve ever done as a family I’ll bet without

[16:49] my wife slash their mother she’s not a gamer sad face we still all game individually but the only game we regularly play together is overwatch

[17:01] here’s me my boys playing overwatch deathmatch now this is links off to a YouTube video will circle around to that at the end as much fun as playing

[17:09] against each other is I most love playing games where we can play as a team we’re starting to get excited with fall at 76 it is to be an MMO since

[17:17] today is Father’s Day let me ask to see just how many other gamer dads and moms we have around here ask a couple questions to the community which started

[17:27] pretty decent conversation on the site he ends off with it’s Father’s Day call your dad yeah thanks tonight’s post excellent really well said and I think

[17:38] from gaming dads and anybody kind of in our two positions where our kids are a bit younger yeah this

[17:45] when they’re getting younger and firstly just the memories of the games being so warm and so pleasant like sitting on the lab playing through questing on and has

[17:56] been this case World of Warcraft yeah yeah but then also the advancement where and the excitement of thinking of playing with your son on the same team

[18:05] and then one of the experience you had with your buddies when you were young or even kind of at this age but experienced with your own kin like you’re your son

[18:14] or daughter being other than the same team to play that like I yes that’s so incredible what’s interesting too is that and something I’ve never thought of

[18:22] is how he mentions that he he wished he recorded those games but that’s nothing like I haven’t done that so that is interesting because it’s like you would

[18:32] film anything else like them playing at the park or riding a bike or something that’s it’s a neat kind of thing where you can record the games that you’ve

[18:40] played those memories are there so why not record the gameplay and that interaction that’s a like an interesting concept especially if you have you did

[18:49] it true twitch style and maybe even had cameras on yourself yeah I see your fun reactions like you’re all laughing or goofing with each other

[18:56] yeah the voiceover and stuff yeah yeah just that entire part so the thought of being able to play with your kids have warm memories of kids and kind of

[19:05] creating that household that has some gaming in it yeah what a fantastic post so bulgar does have a YouTube channel and some of the videos playing with his

[19:14] sons are featured on this one so if you just go to youtube / bull grit that will bring you to his channel so it’s just chock-full of videos of him playing with

[19:24] his sons and yeah just trying to look see really quickly hear about the numbers of it so Amanda this guy’s doing Chris who’s got a thousand subscribers

[19:32] month out this seems to be a few I’d say huh like hundred or so videos so this is going quite a bit because their library videos going that’s good yeah absolutely

[19:43] what a fantastic channel so not only is it playing games with your son it is experiencing content creation like YouTube curation streaming you know just

[19:52] including the whole bits top to bottom what a fantastic and very suitable for Father’s Day so kind of off yes perhaps uh hats off and

[20:02] kudos to bull grits on an incredible household of playing overwatch and congratulations of winning this week’s game that victory of the week if you

[20:13] would like to be nominated or know somebody else deserving for gaming dead victor of the week please reach out to us on our website new dad gaming comm

[20:20] and new dads listen up as we go over this week’s highlights of what happened in the world of gaming Bethesda he is suing Warner Brothers the gaming giant

[20:31] is suing the entertainment giant for allegedly using its fallout shelter code in the Warner Brothers Westworld mobile app game this plot thickens where both

[20:42] games were farmed out and produced by a third party named behavior interactive in the kicker the exact same bugs that appear in Bethesda’s fallout shelter

[20:51] appear in the west-world app so this might be the only time the bugs in Bethesda games saves them headaches and if you enjoyed life is strange you’ll be

[21:01] happy to hear that life in strange 2 was announced this week with more being revealed in August fans have been chomping at the bit for the next

[21:09] iteration and are very vocal on how the story should proceed so we’ll see how that plays out when the episode is slated for release September 27th and as

[21:17] always this week has been steam summer sale which is live from June 21st to July 5th fellow gaming dads can pick up any lingering games to fill out their

[21:27] backlog or as we recommend to look into any games the kids might enjoy to get their WASD movement up to speed happy spending and if you weren’t able to get

[21:37] your hands on an NES classic a couple years ago you’ll have a chance to pick one up next week Nintendo has shipped more units to stores and should be

[21:45] available for purchase starting June 29th the company also promises that the classic NES should be more widely available but if you are interested I’d

[21:53] be lining up early or getting your online clicker finger ready do not expect these supplies to last long the first round sold like hotcakes spiking

[22:01] resale prices afterwards so any nostalgic gaming dads out there good luck Microsoft has officially given up on VR and AR

[22:10] with the Xbox in an interview with the gaming chief marketing officer they are concentrating on experiences you quote would play on your TV and quote while

[22:20] many assume the hololens might migrate over onto the Xbox one X that doesn’t look like it will ever become a reality maybe we’ve learned their lessons from

[22:29] Kinect but it’s kind of disheartening to see less competition to drive that VR industry we hope that the psvr de vive and the oculus rift can continue to grow

[22:39] the industry and notable game launches for this week include Mario Tennis aces for the switch the lost child for the switch in the ps4 new Gundam breaker for

[22:49] the ps4 and the Lego Incredibles launches for all consoles that’s it for gaming news for this week catching up and tune in next time for

[22:57] another update so the rest of the news is kind of interesting but I think steam summer sale it’s always the kicker right like it’s because right there we very

[23:09] much had the conversation last week around backlog yeah and the thought that I would buy another game before I beat God of War and yes a horizon zero dawn o

[23:22] right you have that one yet oh you have it that is right I saw him beat no mask I like I did my shame list last week yes the shame list is at least no means no

[23:36] man’s sky beating that like truly being that before the expansion comes out oh that’s close to I don’t know if that’s gonna happen but yeah dad war yes doom

[23:47] was on there Oh doom right yeah and horizon zero dawn a very moss and geez moss I keep reading about moss oh geez right and the fact that I would delay

[23:59] any of those further and just to add another game from Steam sale now that being said he’s keeps her so cheap yeah it is just a wild like that they do this

[24:14] and Emily has anything caught your eye from this cinema ticket II see I shouldn’t have visited the steam storefront

[24:23] I did not buy anything but I have it like sitting in my cart so I haven’t purchased anything but again I miss on I think and they give you those emails

[24:32] that’s like hey your games on sale so what I’m kind of caught on is I’ve always wanted to try or in the blind forest yeah this is something like that

[24:47] I’ve always kind of had kind of in my cart and never actually bought to that that’s on sale and then something which is odd I have I always like SimCity and

[24:59] I haven’t really played it in forever and now that my older son is kind of interested in that kind of city building world I wanted the city skylines to to

[25:09] kind of show him so I have that as a discount in my cart so there’s just two sitting in there but what are you winning by not buying it but keeping in

[25:18] your cart like what do you I don’t know the confidence comes in yeah exactly or the cart breaks okay the server’s down I’m sorry no Trevor it’s gonna be a

[25:32] midnight I’ve had a couple beers yeah purchase this let it sit there it’s a few coffees I think the wild one that I saw was GTA 5 it was way down we thought

[25:47] yeah that thing is no I think it got down something like 20 bucks at one point and I think I’ve not been cheap knows it launched because there’s just

[25:54] so much popularity it’s always been in the top 10 so I’m surprised it’s even there for 20 bucks it’s about time come on the thing Oh completely 20 years old

[26:05] is this thing I don’t know four or five earliest so I think oh man sky was 50% off I think oh the dangerous how to cut to it you can buy them all twice yeah I

[26:14] can’t wait so man a street fighter who was a yeah I think that was like 20 bucks which are you already again those are all ways that I have it’s definitely

[26:25] the thought of it man like the Summer Sale is just such a curse I think it’s gonna be much better I think you’ll be getting to this point soon I think even

[26:34] better that would be once you can be with your kid then you’re buying games so you’re kicking out a list out I really want to play you

[26:41] like some of these games you’re like all right well here’s a summer sale so we can now pick up some of the things that you’ve wanted yeah yeah exactly and I

[26:49] think that’s we are getting to that point I think the last summer the the winter sale I think we bought Age of Empires

[26:57] I love the HD Edition because he wanted to see that so he was into the kind of the strategy thing he didn’t really go anywhere but it’s just something that

[27:05] like you said okay well we can look into that game the next sale like I’m gonna buy it because I know from the price history it’s gonna drop fifty seventy

[27:14] five percent so yeah walk me through your logic around City skylines so the city sim building game yeah like I said now is that something where you would do

[27:24] it together like did your kid have the wherewithal to run that one himself or is it really play with dad so it’s more of an experiment I think on my part like

[27:36] just what kind of city he would build like let him let him go and I want to see if there’s like nine fire stations surrounded by like this residential Road

[27:49] that’s in the middle of an airport or something like I kind of want to see that and then make a shower plans yeah yeah or like if the roads are connecting

[28:00] or maybe they aren’t connecting and he just has like I don’t know a port and that’s all it is it’s just boats everywhere so I kind of want that to

[28:07] happen to see what what is the world will be like and then improve upon it but have that first screenshot or that first even like the the gaming Dead

[28:16] Victoria this week maybe record it and just see his playstyle and be like no this is your first strategy video series my my son’s first city citizens hate him

[28:31] but they love them because there’s nothing what are they maximizing debt yeah no taxes he doesn’t want any taxes but again do you think he could he could

[28:42] handle it like if he is he good enough with games cuz those games tend to be a little bit deep as far as McCann you know the handle building a city you

[28:50] think I think I would have to be here to help them through the menus the menus are the problem then like on a console it’s not too bad because everything is

[28:58] kind of in-your-face it has to be for the controller but on PC it’s with the mouse that he has to kind of move around and get to the different little buttons

[29:06] so I’ll probably have to be here for that and but I think once he gets the basics down he can kind of go to it he’s not gonna get everything for sure like

[29:14] he’s not gonna get the ins and outs of everything but it would be kind of interesting to see him you know balance that budget you know you’re laying down

[29:21] roads oh they cost money something good luck perfect so it’s teaching them fiscal responsibility teaching him economics

[29:31] teaching city planning and dealing with failure pressure yeah I react in the entire city of people I hate you all right I’m gonna I think in the stress

[29:44] I’m out in another five years of his life just often that one that one session doing dead right and the only one that stuck out to me was the

[29:52] re-release of the NES mini or at least the providing of more units to purchase that was it the NES mini you had or the SNES NES so that the original original

[30:03] had the NES and how often have you oh sorry I have the SNES yeah yeah yeah okay that’s what I see yeah so how many times have you even with that one it’s

[30:12] not the same one but you know same vein how often do you actually use it I wouldn’t say uh often definitely not often but I will sit down and play with

[30:22] the kids like Mario Kart and simple games like that maybe twice a month maybe so it’s so my biggest worry about those things it just becomes people wait

[30:32] to see yeah paper with it yeah impulse buy oh this is a lot of fun and then it gets put into a cabinet and you just never see it again but the fact that

[30:41] you’re playing it like twice a month even is still yeah significant like do you play with buddies when they come over or like and the not really again

[30:50] it’s like at that point it’s no it’s nothing like that it’s maybe party games or something that we want to play that I can’t play with my kids so again yeah

[30:58] it’s nothing like that but what I will say that it’s easy to play with them on those consoles because it is like everything’s offline they

[31:05] can’t screw it up it’s all there the games are pretty hard so it gives them a challenge but the issue is that they could have all those games on their 3d

[31:16] asses like through the Nintendo Virtual Store if they if they wanted it but I don’t know they seem to like watch me game on it versus playing with me on it

[31:27] they like yeah so that they think the graphics look funny I’m like oh ok that’s your word for ugly I get it it’s not a very old or it’s very modern yeah

[31:42] yeah given the researches of pixel sprite games it’s not be hard to kind of be hard to peg down yeah again I go back and forth on these things and the

[31:52] promise like I have other means to play them and I’m just not sure I would really go back as stated many times in the show when they do the mini in 64 or
